Looking for a ray of sunshine to brighten your home? Then look no further than Sunny, our adorable 5-month-old puppy! This energetic and outgoing girl is ready to find her forever family. 🌞 Sunny is a curious and playful pup who loves to explore everything around her. Her previous adopters mentioned she was quite interested in their cats, so if you have feline friends, slow and supervised introductions will be key. While she's a social butterfly, Sunny is still a young pup who's learning the ropes. She'll need adopters who are committed to positive reinforcement training to help her with her manners and guide her into becoming a well-behaved companion. If you're an active individual or family ready to embrace the joys (and delightful challenges!) of puppyhood, Sunny might be the perfect match. She's eager to learn, loves to play, and promises to fill your life with endless tail wags and puppy kisses. 🐾 Are you ready to welcome this sweet and spirited girl into your home?

"PEARL" timid, tiny, snuggly CHIWEENIE mix "STUMPTOWN STRAYS"

 UPDATE 6/8/25 ADOPTED!

"Stumptown Strays" is a wonderful local Rescue that helps shelter dogs in need of medical assistance.

"PEARL" is Available for adoption with STUMPTOWN STRAYS

Stumptown Strays Facebook  PEARL plus video

Chiweenie mix, spayed female, housetrained, 8 yrs 6 lbs

ok with Dogs, ok with Cats,  Kids no  Adoption fee $400

Personality: Quiet, Gentle, Independent, Loves, Affectionate

Pearl, our 6 pound 8 year old chiweenie, is breed-standard (yes, we know a chiweenie isn't a breed). She divides her time between available laps, warm sun spots, and under the covers. If you've ever known a chiweenie, you're probably a fan (we certainly are). And, if you've ever known a chiweenie, you also know they need an extensive sweater collection. Our Pearl is ready for her own home; hopefully one with a wardrobe ready.

Found stray, Pearl was very sick. No one had bothered to spay her and her uterus was infected. The shelter reached out to us for help. Pearl's finally recovered from that infection; she's spayed and we also addressed her dental issues. Although Pearl had to lose a few "pearly-whites" (they weren't actually white and were pretty gross), she eats much better without them.

Crate trained, potty trained and quiet, Pearl is easy to have around. It took her a few days to warm up to the other dogs in her foster home (she's tiny and was a bit overwhelmed), but now she loves them. We think she'd be fine in a home with other patient dogs. Although we haven't seen her with cats, we suspect a dog savvy cat would also be fine.

Pearl is a happy, snuggly dog. She does like the quiet, and needs a secure yard to potty in (shy bladder - can't go while on leash). Walks can be a little scary, so a calm neighborhood would be best as would an adopter willing to periodically carry her. Pearl is reserved and will take a bit to come out of her shell. For that reason, older kids only in her home.

Pearl is heartworm negative and is current on her flea and heartworm preventatives.

Spay your dogs people. It can kill them if you don't.

Have room for 6 pounds of chiweenie under your comforter?

Interested?

"BEVERELY" senior CHIhuahua PERMANENT FOSTER HOme NEEDED "OLD DOG HAVEN"

UPDATE 6/8/25  "HAPPY NEWS!
We have FOUND an Old Dog Haven Forever Foster Home for Beverly!
This sweet girl will make her way to her forever foster home soon.
Thanks to you all for sharing our plea!"

PERMANENT Old Dog Haven PERMANENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED: for "OLD DOG HAVEN"(note: all medical expenses paid by rescue)
(fosters needed -located in W. Washington state or Portland, OR only)

"Beverly" is a recently spayed female chihuahua who weighs 12 pounds.

This adorable little dog is now in a temporary Old Dog Haven foster home
after a shelter foster home took her to recover from spay and removal of
several mammary masses. One of those masses was malignant and we have
to expect that more will appear in time. We might be lucky since the
hormones are gone now, but....

She is lively, good on leash, likes
the car, is housebroken and otherwise very healthy with all intake work
done. In this home she chased the cats the first day and then
snoozed with them.

In her past life she lived with a younger male chi, then with several dogs in her shelter foster home. Now as an "only", however, she has decreed herself the protector and will need clear direction if strange dogs come up or strange people reach at her.

If you love this breed you will understand! She needs a permanent spot now that will enjoy her for short or long term, keep her active and watch
for any new masses to appear - hopefully not for a long time.
If you'd like to offer Beverley or one of the other dogs from our wait list a forever foster home, please read through the link below and email applications@olddoghaven.org
PLEASE NOTE: We respond to inquiries within 24 hours. If you haven't received an email please check your spam folder.
