"DAPHNE" awesome young and sociable Pitmix

ADOPTED!

Nov 4, 2015

I'm a great dog! I need a new home where I get some additional training, a 6 ft secure fence for the times that I am alone in my yard, and some crate training (but please don't crate me for a long day?)....and lots of good wishes for a good match :)

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink

Hello, Hello! My name is Daphne and I am one cool dog! I am athletic, social with people, social with other dogs, and ready to find my new family! I have been very stressed in the shelter environment but am hoping that my pretty face and good skills will impress you. I have been known to be quite the little escape artist and will need a secure, fenced back yard that is over 6 feet tall. The shelter is HIGHLY recommending that we take reward based classes together to help me build my recall and build our bond together. Doesn't that sound like fun? I am very eager to learn. Crate training will also be a good idea for me as sometimes I do like to get bored while alone and may get into things I shouldn’t. I am a great girl though and am looking for that family to guide me into becoming a perfect lady. Please come down and meet me. I am around 2 years old and weigh 53 pounds

I really enjoy going for walks, so please don't carry me everywhere. Plus, my muscles need to stay strong to stay healthy. Do you like kisses? Well I do too and I plan on one of mine landing on you by the second date. I am about 1.5 years old and weigh 4.5 pounds. Please come and meet me today!

My name is Mr. Scruffs. And you guessed it-it's because of my wonderful beard! I am very shy at first, but once I get to know you I am a wonderful little guy who's ready for an adventure. I walk well on a leash, and would love a home that will continue to take me on long walks to explore and get exercise. My hope is to find a very calm, patient new home that can help me build more confidence. It would be best if my new home have no kids under 10. With an appropriate meeting, having a canine brother or sister may be a good thing! I hope to see you down here soon. I am 2 years old and weigh 8 pounds.

ADOPTED!
Oct 30, 2015
Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here is my Mcas weblink

My name is Zip. Bet you are wondering why that is? See, when I get excited, I zip around the yard as fast as I can, mouth open and skin flapping in the wind as I run around as happy as can be! When you see it, you'll have an even bigger smile on your own face seeing me enjoying myself. When it is time to calm down, I do that pretty well too. I can sometimes be shy around new people, but if you are soft and patient, I warm up really quickly and become your new best friend! I know how to sit and lay down, and am very food motivated if you want to try and teach me some new tricks. I need a home with no cats and kids over 6. I am 4 years old, male, and weigh 59 pounds.

my lip "got stuck"! and for those who think I was "giving lip?"
Trust me, dogs' lips really do get stuck:)
I was so scared at first...

"TANGERINE" WOW, I'm such a cutie now!

ADOPTED (again!)
Oct 24, 2015

10/29/2015 Happy update!

I just wanted you to know that by coming to the Shelter there in Troudale was the best thing I could have done. Tangerine and I have made a great pair, she is high energy, crate trained, leash trained and potty trained. She loves running all over the house with her new toys and of course my shoes and socks but never destroys them, we play tag.

She is also a great bed partner and snores as loud as me. Thank you for giving me the chance to adopt her and the people there at the Shelter are wonderful and so helpful. I am going to change her name, more to what I think may fit her and that is "MOCHA", can you please change that on her records. Thanks again.

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink

Hello, my name is Tangerine! Have you noticed how cute I am?! My shelter friends don't know much about my past experiences but they can tell you that I'm healthy, curious about exploring my environment, and can get a little overwhelmed with too much at one time. Because of that, they are asking that any children in my family be over the age of 10. Some positive training methods to help boost my confidence will be sure to make me a fun new companion! Please come down and meet me. I am around a year old and weigh 12 pounds.

Hi there! My name is Struedel and I'm looking for a quiet home where I can be your spoiled princess. I was very shy when I first arrived here at the shelter, but I am slowly coming out of my shell. Strangers can be very overwhelming for me, so I will need an adopter that will take things slow with me. The shelter is recommending that children in the home be over the age of 12 years old due to my shyness. Once I feel comfortable with you, I enjoy giving kisses and sitting in your lap. Toys are a must for me too! Gosh I love the one's that squeek! If you are looking for a tiny princess that enjoys going for short walks, please come and meet me today! I am about 6 years old and weigh a petite 8 pounds.

"SKYWALKER" awesome sensitive young Big Active lab/pitmix

ADOPTED!
Oct 2015

Sky deserves the best new home.  Not someone who wants him just because he's cute, and then wants to "get rid of" him
because he is big and active.

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here is my Mcas weblink (10/28 pending adoption)

Hey everybody! My name is Skywalker and I am a super energetic boy that is looking for a new family! I haven't had the best start in life and am looking for a family that can give me the life skills that I so desire. The shelter is recommending that we attend reward based classes together to get us started off on the right paw. I am going to need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation to keep my manners at ease. Speaking of manners, I really don't have much, but I have the potential to be a great boy with some dedication and good direction. Children in the home should be over the age of 10 years old due to my exuberance and lack of manners. Also, please no felines in the home. They are just a little bit too interesting for me. If you are looking for a fun project, please come and meet me today! I am about 1 year old and weigh 59 pounds.

"EMMA" gorgeous, smart Big Active German Shepherd

Foster to Adopt!
let's hope it's a good match
Oct 28, 2015

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink

Hello, my name is Emma! I am a goofy lady who is looking for that special someone with no children under 10 to give me a second chance for a happy ending! My previous owner is no longer able to take care of me and I do hope that now its possible for me to enjoy the luxury! I have been primarily living outside without even the basic necessary things like food and water. I have been social with people, a little anxious in the new environment, really like my food, and sometimes wouldn't mind playing with toys. My shelter friends have also noticed that I am very fearful of other dogs, and my new life should not be in highly dog populated areas such as apartments. They are highly recommending that we attend a reactive rover or private consultation with a trainer who uses positive training methods. Any new dogs in my home should be adults and have excellent social skills. Please come down and meet me. I am around 5 years old and weigh a slender 57 pounds

Hi there! My name is Wally and I'm looking for a new home. I am a sweet little guy that enjoys lots of lap sitting, but can be shy at times. I am looking for a home with children over the age of 6 years that won't pressure me to do things that I find uncomfortable. I enjoy my human companionship and can't wait to spend my days goin for walks and then cuddling up next to the fire. Please come and meet me today. I am about 2 years old and weigh 15 pounds.

"COCO" gentle Doxie mix

ADOPTED!
Oct 28, 2015

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!
Coco is currently available - and in a MCAS Foster home

here is my Mcas weblink

Hi, my name is Coco and I am a nice, little 4 year old guy, weighing around 11 lbs. I am a Dachshund mix. I am living in a foster home with a rather large dog (they are all large to me), a cat and my two moms. I really enjoy life with them but would love to find my final home so I can really settle in. They tell me that I am a good boy. I like to go for walks with my big sister – she has taught me that walks are pretty cool. I am house-trained and stay in the crate during the day while my foster parents are at work. I like hanging out with my foster parents; watching TV on my bed next to them on the couch. If you are interested in finding out more about me and my adorable personality please contact Alix, the Foster Coordinator at alix.womack@multco.us or 503-988-6247 to set up a time to meet me :)

"SKITTLES" agua and yellow parakeet

ADOPTED!
Oct 2015

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here is my Mcas weblink

So the shelter named me Skittles, but if you take me home you can change that. My goal is to be adopted because it's getting way too cold for a little guy like me, to be outside so I'm looking for someone to help me out. My cage isn't included so my new people will need to get me one - the bigger the better. My adoption fee is only $10.00

"BEULAH" gentle older Beagle

I'M TRANSFERRING to a local Beagle Rescue/ foster home - soon and will have the needed recovery time for the surgery on my old leg injury:)

Just a reminder? If you are looking for a specific breed, it's a great idea to also:
check on line for that (specific dog breed rescue) (and also check Petfinder.com for other rescues who have a dog of that breed (or breed mix )
When you can't adopt but want to help a specific breed .... It's really GREAT and rewarding to support any good Rescue group - purebred or mix breed - who helps the local animals who need new homes!

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here is my Mcas weblink

Hello there! My name is Beulah. I am a true beagle, through and through. That is, I love to follow my nose! Although I am an older gal, I am still as curious as I was in my younger years, following my nose around and searching out all the best smells that life has to offer. Due to this, it is best that I bet an on-leash pup, just so I don't get swept away by a beautiful scent! As I am older, I have some arthritis and walk with a limp due to an old injury. Although it doesn't slow me down, I will be having surgery to make sure I am all fixed up and ready to go! My ideal home would be quiet and peaceful, and not have children under 6. I am 10 years old and weigh 27 pounds.

"REGGIE" delightful tall Jack Russell Terrier mix

ADOPTED!
Oct 25, 2015

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here is my MCAS weblink

Do you know how to play fetch? Good. Do you like to play fetch? Even better. Do you WANT to play fetch? Now you are talking. Grab a ball and let's go! My name is Reggie, and I am a fun, action-sized mixed breed who's looking for a new best friend. I love to play fetch, if you haven't already noticed, and would love a new buddy who's willing to take me out and give me all the fetch-inspired exercise they can offer. I do have a good amount of energy to burn so you must keep up! I have experience living with other dogs. I am a bit too exuberant with my toys, so kids over 6 would be best for my new home. If you are making plans to add to the family, think about me! I am 7 years old and weigh 28 pounds.

"KONA" handsome big American Bulldog/pitbull

ADOPTED!
Oct 24, 2015

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here is my Mcas weblink

Hi there. My name is Kona. I am a very big guy, with an even bigger heart! I am a huge love-bug, and really enjoy being around people to show just how great of a dog I am to everyone that will pet me! I am looking for a confident and capable handler, due to my size, and can be ok with kids so long as I am monitored and introduced properly-like I said, I love meeting people, but sometimes I can't control my big, wiggly body! I have experience living with a large-breed female friend, and could do well with another same type of female canine buddy. I am 4 years old and weigh 89 pounds

"NALA" (aka wondergirl) young, adorable, full of energy Airedale mix

ADOPTED (again)
hoping it's a good fit for everyone
Oct 24, 2015

Looking for a Forever Home.....an overused expression no doubt, but so apt

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink

Calling all runners, hikers, and all out athletic friends! My name is Nalla (Wonder Girl), and I am ready to fly right on out of here. I am about 1 year old and weigh in at 41 lbs. Just like Wonder Girl, I am an action-packed lady who is always in the middle of saving the day! I have tons of energy, so one walk a day just won't be enough for me. I expect tons and tons of exercise, maybe even a job to do. I love meeting new people, and am very social, but my past life was not full of much training, so it will be best if I go to classes to work on my manners and focus. Kids are great, but I would probably prefer them to be over 6 years old due to my energy level and lack of manners. I do like other dogs, but due to my high energy and physical play, sometimes they don't take kindly to my behavior, so I need to find some dogs who can match my play style and continue my socialization
