"PIP" american eskimo mix

ADOPTED!

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services

here's my MCAS weblink

Hello, you can call me Pip. Yep, I'm that handsome rascal you may have seen recently on KOIN News Second Chance Pets. I am a 2 years old American Eskimo mix and weigh about 17lb. I am a people pleaser but a little insecure with kids so the shelter asks that kids are over the age of 10 in my new home. I have doggie friends, but I appreciate a slow introduction with new friends. My holiday wish is for a new home of my own with a fenced yard as I am not suited to apartment life. Can you help make my wish come true?

see Pip (and volunteer Bud) on early morning KOIN!

Hello the shelter named me Starla since I am a star don't you know? Being an older model at lbs and years I am looking for a quiet family ready and willing to pamper me. On thoses lines the shelter is asking that only families with respectful children 10 years or older ask about me. Are you ready to bring me to spa days and knit me sweaters, lets talk. I am around 10 years old and weigh 6.6 pounds

"GAMER" smart, handsome, well behaved

ADOPTED!

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services

here's my MCAS weblink  ( adoption pending 12/4)

Hi there. My picture kind of says it all. I'm a fun & games kind of boy, so they named me Gamer. I'm some sort of a German Shepherd mix about 1 year old and weigh around 56lbs. I'm not much for fetch but I found a tennis ball and I love to chase it if you kick it along the ground. I'm must be a soccer fan. I know sit and down and who knows what else? I have an interesting bare strip on my tail. The shelter asked what happened but I don't remember.

"ITTY BITTY" timid but sweet - tiny chi

ADOPTED!

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Shelter

here's  my Mcas weblink

Hi there, I'm another one of the tiny dogs here so my shelter name is Itty Bitty. I'm about 8 months old and only weigh 4 pounds. I need to be on leash when I am outside or I'll get blown away by the wind. I am quite timid so the shelter is recommending a home with respectful gentle kids 10 & up or I'll be so scared I'll run & hide. The shelter person who assessed me could pick me up but I wasn't comfortable to go up to her. She told me that in a quiet home with patient people I'll be just fine.

"RUDY" adorable scruffy terrier!

ADOPTED!

Available for adoption  Multnomah County Animal Services
in an MCAS foster home

here's my MCAS weblink

My name is Rudy and I am currently in foster care. If you are interested in me, please contact our Foster Coordinator at alix.womack@multco.us to set up a time to meet me! I am house-trained and leash trained and crate trained and good with other dogs and cats. I'm not you're average little dog, I consider myself a dogs' dog. I'm a very quiet, polite and an easy keeper.

I am uber confident with all types of animals. People still make me nervous and I am slow to warm up, but am getting better every day- gaining trust and bonding. I adore my pitbull foster sister and brother and I share my food and couch with the cats. I do well on leash and really love my walks. I even do hikes like a pro. I am potty trained and ride well in the car. I would do well in a home with gentle kids over the age of 6. Being adopted to a home with confident dogs will help me gain confidence and come out of my shell faster. Ask about me today!

thanks Molly, for my super cute foster home pics!

"ELSA" - one ear up Wirehaired cutie

ADOPTED!

Available for Adoption (in a foster home) with  Multnomah County Animal Services!
Hellooooooo Portland! And places beyond. My name is Elsa. I'm a wirehaired dachshund mix who is guaranteed to melt the coldest of hearts. For starters, I love to be wherever you are. Ready to hunker down for the winter with some hot tea and movies? I'll be curled up right there by your side the whole time. I also love, love, love to go for walks and dance adorably whenever I see the leash. I love other dogs, and respectful kids, too. There may be a small adjustment period at first, but I promise that I know I should potty outside. I've even been using the Poochie Bells in my foster home to let them know I want out. Apparently that means I'm smarter than your average snow princess. I admittedly complain about being in my crate, but I do quiet down eventually, once I'm really super extra sure that you've truly left the premises. Then I just nap like a good girl and dream of when you'll come home and we can walk and play. With a little more work, my crate habits should be perfect. I came in as a stray, so I can't really share much about my past, except to say that I've "let it go" and am looking forward to my future with you! I'm about 2 years old, and I weigh 7 lbs. If you would like to meet me, please contact the Foster Coordinator at alix.womack@multco.us or 503-988-6247.

" LLOYD" Lab lovers/Senior dog lovers

ADOPTED!

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Shelter

here's my Mcas weblink

Hello, my name is Lloyd. I arrived at the shelter as a stray dog with some itchy skin and ears. My friends here have started me on the road to recovery and now I'm hoping you can help me along my journey. I have been social with people, even a friendly greeting of other dogs. I can be a little too possesive over high value food so the shelter is asking that only families with respectful 12 year olds and older ask about me. Are you interested in being my home to retire? Please come down and meet me. I am around 9 years old and weigh 61 pounds

"BROLEY" very handsome guy

ADOPTED!

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services

here's my MCAS weblink

Hello, my name is Broley! Don't you think I'm handsome? My story is that I have been living as an outside tethered dog since I was just a wee lad. Their experience with me is that I was social with people, barked at cats, have played with some neighborhood dogs and was sometimes let into the house when its cold. My family is now unable to keep me because of an incident that happened involving me and a child running past me. My new adopter should be experienced with owning dogs, have no children under 18, be prepared to use positive training methods to help me refine my house manners and gain some skills to help keep me out of trouble. Please ask a staff member for more information about my past. I am around 2 and a half years old and weigh 69 pounds.

"CINNAMON" - Old dogs are the most grateful!

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services

(11/30 update - Cinnamon is now in a Foster to adopt home!)

Hello world! Are you ready for an active and outgoing lady like me? I may be around 9 years of age, but I still have plenty of pep in my step and I am looking for someone who can keep up! The shelter recommends a home without cats or small kids. I am a real food hound and will eat just about anything, so a little dog proofing of the home is in order. I weigh a lean 50lbs and would love a home where I get a good quality diet and daily exercise. Please ask about ME today!

"HAMMISH" cool dog - maybe cattle dog/ pitbull/ lab/ setter mix?

ADOPTED!

I'm a cool dog - and  it is so hard for smart, active and sensitive dogs to be in a shelter kennel environment.....
I promise I'll do great in a home with active people who like smart dogs .....
Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's  my Mcas weblink (11/29 adoption pending 12/3)

Well hello world, the shelter named me Hamish for my handsome and manly good looks.
I am going to be frank with you I am not so sure of strangers. I need time to really figure out if you can be trusted before I let down my guard. Because of this the shelter is asking for families with respectful children at least 10 years old to ask about me.
The shelter is also a bit mystified as to my breed mix… So they are using the catch name American Shelter Dog. Old school would be to call me Heinz 57 or a mutt. Isn't ASD more sophisticated?
I am around 2 years old and weigh in at 63 lbs.

"DRACULA" a devoted senior Poodle

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services

here's my Mcas weblink  ( 11/28 - in a Foster to Adopt!)

Hello my name is Dracula, no I am not scary! My sweet mom could not care for me any longer so at 12 years old I am in the market for my last forever home. My family wanted you to know I have good house manners, ride well in cars, adored my cat housemates and got along well with all people. Because I am an older model the shelter thinks I will fit in best in an adult household or respectful children 10 years or older. Won't you make my wishes come true? I weigh in at 11 lbs.
