"SCOOBY" *Little Terrier mix *SPECIAL NEEDS* "OHS- PORTLAND"

Scooby gets around ok,  but he has *bilateral dislocation of his shoulders* and has been sadly overlooked by potential adopters. He's a sweet little guy who was part of a special rescue group. The other dogs in the group have all been adopted and Scooby is still waiting to find a good home.  He loves to go on slow walks and stop to sniff everything.

"SCOOBY" AVAILABLE FOR Adoption at Oregon Humane Society  in PORTLAND

SCOOBY  #352856 Looks like: Terrier, Mix

neutered male 1 yr 7 mths 19 lbs   available 7/29/26  $50

What my friends at OHS say about me:

  • I am a sweet and sensitive boy who takes a little time to build trust and make friends.
  • Giddy-up! The staff here call me a pony because I like to stand on my hind legs for easier access to pets.
  • I love nothing more than to be held close and snuggled.
  • I have bilateral dislocation of my shoulders. This is most likely a congenital condition but will require long term medical management with your veterinarian.
  • To learn more about my specific needs, please read my What to Expect handout.

The type of home I'm looking for:

  • I must go to a home with a fenced in yard.

"DIAMOND" **PLEASE HELP me FIND a home!!!**"OHS- PORTLAND"

VERY PRETTY young PITTIE!  Diamond needs to get out of the shelter and into a good matching home soon; she is struggling living in a shelter kennel. Smart and active, easy med sz.  Just needs a committed home who appreciates her and has the time and energy for Diamond.

Once Diamon is a little older, I bet she could be a fabulous running partner! She loves to do zoomies in a big fenced area

What my friends at OHS say about me:

  • I really enjoy the company of my human friends.
  • I love to be the center of attention. All eyes and pets on me, please!
  • I may be shy at first, but once we get to know each other I will shower you with love!
  • I'm a fiend for food! Snacks are a great way to make friends with me and teach me fun tricks.
  • I can be shy with my canine companions. Slow introductions and having my own space will be important for me to adjust to a home with resident dogs.
  • Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment.
  • Resource Guarding: I have a history of guarding my people, food, toys and/or bedding from other animals or people.
  • I can be overwhelmed by overhandling, restraint or touch. I may exhibit my discomfort in a variety of ways and will need to go to a dog savvy home.
  • High Energy: I can become easily frustrated if my physical and mental exercise needs are not met. I will need positive outlets and a calm environment to help me flourish.

The type of home I'm looking for:

  • I need to go to an adult only home.
  • I will thrive in a home that can provide me with a daily dedication to both physical and mental exercise.

"In memory of Dolly Parton, we wanted to share a little extra love for a very special girl who carries her name.
Last month, during our “Born in the USA” naming theme, this sweet girl became Dolly! Of course, named after a woman whose music, generosity, and unmistakable spirit touched generations of people.
We’re remembering Dolly Parton and celebrating the little piece of her legacy that lives on in names like this one. Our Dolly is still waiting for her forever home, and we think finding her person would be a pretty wonderful way to honor her namesake"

"Dolly would like everyone to know that she is VERY cute and VERY available.

The smile. The tiny teeth. The face of a girl who knows she deserves a home of her own.
Dolly is currently available for adoption at Clackamas County Dog Services! Come meet this sweet, smiley girl and see if she might be the one for you. "  CCDS  FB

"DOLLY" Available for Adoption at "CLACKAMAS CO DOG Services"

 Shelter ID: 106507 Breed: Rottweiler

spayed female 6 yr 88 lbs adoption fee $150

Description: Meet Dolly, an 88lb gentle giant who is about 6 years old! Dolly is the definition of a loyal companion. She absolutely loves people and is happiest simply being by your side, whether that's relaxing at home, joining you for a stroll, or just keeping you company throughout the day. She has a calm, affectionate nature and enjoys soaking up attention from the people she loves.

Dolly is beginning to show some normal wear and tear in her hips and hind end, but it certainly doesn't stop her from enjoying life. She would thrive with an adopter who is committed to helping her stay active through regular walks, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and providing the ongoing care and comfort she deserves as she gets older. With a little extra support, Dolly has plenty of love and companionship left to give.

1. Dolly will do best with an adopter who is committed to keeping her active while being mindful of her comfort. Regular walks, maintaining a healthy weight, and routine veterinary care will help keep her feeling her best for years to come.

2. She has done well meeting other dogs here at the shelter and may enjoy living with a compatible canine companion. A meet and greet with any resident dogs will be required to ensure everyone is a good fit.

3. We are unsure how Dolly will do with cats or other small animals at this time. If you have resident pets, please speak with your adoption counselor about slow, thoughtful introductions to help set everyone up for success.

4. Due to Dolly's size and her aging joints, she is recommended for a home with children ages 9 and older who can interact respectfully and help avoid accidentally causing her discomfort.

If you're looking for a devoted best friend who will happily stick by your side through life's everyday moments, Dolly may be the perfect match. She's a sweet, steady girl with a heart as big as she is, and she's ready to find a family who will love her through every stage of life.

*Foster home

Hi there friends! My name is Sid, and I am the silliest, sweetest guy you will ever meet. If you're looking for an adventure buddy to fill your life with, I might be the guy for you!

I am a sweet, funny, high energy boy. I can become easily frustrated if my physical and mental exercise needs are not met. I love to go on hikes and walks, maybe we can even try running together? I am very adaptive and while I love to go out and about, I am also fond of a good snooze. Laying with my favorite people on the couch sounds like a great evening to me!

Mental enrichments are also a great way to work me and my brain. I have been described as super smart and eager to learn! I pick up on things very quickly. I looove treats and do my best work with them! A fun way to get my brain working is hiding my treats! I carefully pick apart puzzle toys/ boxes to get to the treats.

I do well in a crate when my family is not home. I cuddle up with my blankets and toys and take a nice snooze until you come back! I even like to take naps on my own and will sometimes put myself to bed. I like to keep my space nice and tidy and have been described as a pleasant house guest!

I have positive history with kids in my previous home. I love to romp around with them. I am very careful to not bump into them and be gentle while playing. I would love to meet any little friends I may be around frequently!

I can get too excited and overwhelmed when seeing other dogs, I will benefit from structure and space from them. Cats are also very exciting to me and I have a habit of chasing after them. In order to set me up for the best success I will need to be the only pet in the home.

Are you ready to take me home? I am part of the Diamond in the Ruff program, which you can learn more about here ! I can't wait to meet you.
