Dudley here! I'm a young Heeler fella searching for a new home. My favorite hobby is exploring! I am a curious, smart dog and I love to learn new things about the world around me. I would love to have a job to do or learn some new tricks to give my mind something to work on. If you can keep me mentally and physically stimulated, I will be your loving friend forever! I am still learning that the world around me is safe and not scary, so I would love a home willing to work to socialize and train me! Due to my fearfulness and handling sensitivities I would need a home where any children are 8 years or older.   10 mths, 21 lbs ( still growing.)
THE SHELTER OPERATES ON A FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVE BASIS. THERE WILL BE A SIGN UP SHEET OUTSIDE THE SHELTER AT 11AM ON 3/8/18 FOR ANYONE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING ME!

I am Spike, a fun loving and energetic dude! Dogs like me love to get out and play but are not always sure what to do with our mouths. I can tend to get so excited I jump for the first thing I see, and the game is on! My ideal family will be active, patient and use positive training methods to help me become a more refined pup. I think working with a trainer would be a fun way for us to bond and learn together. In my new home, any potential children will need to be 12 years old or older. I am eager to learn and can't wait to show you how smart I am, so come meet me today! I am in a quieter area of the shelter, so please ask a staff member to meet me.  2 yrs 9 mths, 71 lbs

Jasmine here! I'm a sweet bulldog mix lady searching for a new place to call my own. I have been in foster for a short time so my friends here at the shelter learned that I don't seem to feel comfortable going for walks outside my house, so I need a place that has a yard where I can burn off my energy and play! At first, I can be anxious and fearful in a home environment but after a short time I will start to relax and show you how wonderful I can be! I am really happiest being where my people are - any children in my new home need to be 8 years or older. If you are seeking a relaxed and adorable friend to keep you company through your life, then I am the dog for you! Through thick and thin, I will be by your side. I will need to be the only animal in my new home.  8 yrs, 86lbs

If you are looking for a fun, playful dog to add some joy to your life and help make you laugh, then look no further. I will bring endless fun and keep you entertained with my goofy antics. "PRISCILLA" senior Pekingese Adoption UPDATE

Nice dog adoption update!

Feb 2018   "I adopted this little one from mcas 3yrs. ago in Dec. 2014, thinking to provide hospice, as this little girl was old, frail and ailing. She's still around :)
("Baby") is pampered and spoiled, and since I am retired and have other pets, she is never alone "    Diane S

ADOPTED!!
Dec 2014
(12/14 adopted!!) to a nice Pekingese loving home who is ready to provide the additional medical care for this sweetie)
Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Shelter

here's my Mcas weblink

Hello my shelter name is Priscilla, or you could call me Princess. That’s how I want to be treated during my golden years. Sure I have higher needs than the youngsters but I am calm and sweet and really no bother at all. After some vet care and diagnostics I will be ready for lounging on the couch and regular spa days. At around 10 years old and weighing in at 10 lbs I think I would be perfect for an older couple or maybe a family with respectful children at least 10 years old like me. Please ask more about me!

Priscilla is getting a bath, and her painful matts cut off

here's me when I came into the shelter!

RAINBOW ADOPTED!
lived with cats and small dogs
here's my Mcas weblink
141873
While Rainbow came to us because she fought with another spayed female rabbit in her previous home, she also lived with & tolerated small dogs and cats in the same home. She is wonderfully house-trained and while she does not like to be picked up, she is learning that people give her good things (like treats) if she can be petted! Be consistently gentle with her and your patience will be rewarded. Like most rabbits, Rainbow is cautious around new people and situations but is curious too. She will need very slow, proper introductions with other rabbits in her new home or may be best as an only rabbit.

BERRIEADOPTED!
a young rabbit
here's my Mcas weblink
133423
Berrie is a usually calm, curious bunny who is still a little shy of people. She will take food gently from your hand and loves fresh greens. She probably hasn't had much handling in her past, but is learning to associate humans with good things like food and pets. She has been pretty good about using her litter box here and only has the occasional accident.  1 yr 6 lbs

I promise to provide you with lots of laid-back love and friendship if you save me a spot on the couch. I do have some medical issues and as you can see I am mostly blind. Please speak with your adoption counselor about my medical needs. I am about 14 years old and weigh 23 pounds. I think working with a trainer would be a fun way for us to bond and learn together. I am eager to learn and can't wait to show you how smart I am! I am 3 years old and weigh 59lbs. If there are kids in my new home, they should be sturdy and at least 12 years old. I have been very reactive to other dogs at the shelter and may prefer to be the only dog in the home. There should be no cats in my new home, because I would be too much for a kitty.

Hi my name is Justus, did my unusual looks catch your eye? Well I have all sorts of tricks to impress you with. I have an excellent sit and down with treats and I can catch my treats with amazing accuracy! I am also a born athlete so an active family is a must. I am an escape artist and will need a secure fence and must not be left alone outside, as I can climb them. Don't worry we will have so much fun. I have so many plans for our future, let's get started! I am a black and white male American Pitbull and maybe some Australian Cattle Dog thrown in. I am around 5 years old and weigh about 57 lbs.
