"MAX" aka "DOODLE" a Rottie not a doodle

update Jan 5, 2023 ADOPTED

"MAX" is Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!
MCAS hours/ Location

Animal ID: 277696, 5 yrs 9 mths, 110 lbs

https://www.multcopets.org/adoptable/277696

At this time, community members aren't able to visit the shelter to browse adoption kennels, and adoptions are limited to the virtual process. My name is Max, AKA Doodle, and I am looking for a new home! I came to the shelter as a stray, but I was microchipped, and the shelter was able to make contact with a previous owner. Unfortunately they couldn't take me back and now I find myself here looking for a new family to love me. I prefer to be around the ladies, as I can get overwhelmed by men. I have lived with cats, but it should be known that I will chase them. I am selective about my canine friends, but have gotten along with other Rotties in the past. I would prefer to be your one and only though! No chickens for me, as I do find them to be pretty tasty, just like most of my human friends do! I am a social boy, that's looking for the right home and I hope that's you! Please fill out an application for me today!

UPDATE Dec 31, 2022 possible adopter or on hold

Lilac is a relatively small 39 lbs mix, gentle and loving. Looking for a home where she gets a healthy diet, good care and lots of love!

Sweetheart.

"LILAC" is Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!
MCAS hours/ Location

Animal ID: 279275, 1 yr 39 lbs

https://www.multcopets.org/adoptable/279275

Hi I am Lilac. I am a young mixed breed dog looking for a home to call my own. From my tan and lilac coat to the white and brown speckles on my feet, who knows what all I am mixed with! What I do know is that I am a staff favorite! I came to the shelter with a skin infection so my coat is not at its best at the moment but it is getting better each day while I am here. I enjoy my medicated baths while giving the staff face kisses the whole time, after my bath I get the zoomies and want to play with anyone around. I do clam down and lay nicely on a blanket once I get my excess energy out but am always ready for the next adventure! I am super playful but still learning what toys are and I sometimes use my front feet when I get excited to play with people but will immediately give you a nice sit when asked. My new home should be ready for some positive reinforcement training, I am a sponge ready to learn! Although my history before coming to the shelter is unknown I would probably like to meet another playful dog who can show me the ropes. I am an active girl full of love, wont you apply for me today? The adoption counselors can discuss my medical needs further and see if we are the right fit! "POLLYANNA" lively black Hound mix puppy

update 1/5/2023 ADOPTED

Pollyanna is adorable and has non-stop puppy energy! She's too young to run/jog with (needs to safely develop until about a yr old before lengthy running) but she would love someone active as a companion.

Pollyanna already does a great "sit" and "down" for her treats.

Animal ID: 277172  5 mths, 27 lbs and growing

At this time, community members aren't able to visit the shelter to browse adoption kennels, and adoptions are limited to the virtual process. Adopting a young, high energy pup is a serious commitment that adopters should be prepared to invest time and energy into. We will be a part of the family for years and many possible behavior difficulties can be prevented with positive reinforcement, socialization, and patience. If you are ready for that commitment, apply to adopt! I will need slow, managed introductions to other animals in the home. Please speak with your adoption counselor for tips!

"HARRISON" medically-special, little German Shepherd

 ADOPTED!

Update 12/12 Harrison Transferred to Family Dogs New Life Shelter

Please visit Harrison there!

Shiloh Shepherd
2 years old
Male
46 pounds

Kids · Yes
Dogs · Yes
Cats · Yes

I hear there’s some famous dude named Harrison Ford…guess he’s really handsome or something…but I bet he ain’t got nothing’ on me! I’ll give him a run for his money…sexiest man alive, sheesh. Check me out. Talk about sexiest dog alive—not only do I have charming good looks, I’ve got a soft, gentle personality. Quite sensitive and insecure in fact. A confidence boost would go a long way. I get along great with other dogs and can share my home with dog-savvy cats. Plus, I am super sweet and affectionate, but sensitive in new situations. It takes me a bit to trust, so I like strangers to take things slow, offer me a few tasty treats to win my trust. You know, give me a few moments to warm up. A family with children 8+ and a quiet home will be the winning combination for me. I’ve got a nice low-key energy level and a desire to please. I’m already crate trained, have a good start on basic commands but I do ask for plenty of patience. Due to a congenital deformity called hydrocephalus my eyesight isn’t great and my reflexes can be a bit slow. No big deal, right? Move along, Mr. Ford, I got this in the bag.

2 years old-46lbs. My adoption fee is $240 and includes microchip & registration, neuter, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

"HARRISON" is Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!
MCAS hours/ Location

Animal ID: 2783416  2 yrs, 46 lbs

https://www.multcopets.org/adoptable/278416

At this time, community members aren't able to visit the shelter to browse adoption kennels, and adoptions are limited to the virtual process. Harrison's skull appears more dome-shaped than typical, which is consistent with congenital hydrocephalus, increased accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid within the skull cavity. His reaction time seems a bit slower than other dogs and he appears slightly weak/uncoordinated in his hind legs, but otherwise his behavior seems normal. He's probably not suited for catching toys or treats mid-air or going on long-distance walks or runs, but other than that he will probably have a normal life.

"TIPPY" BEST Eyeliner! likes polite dogs and cats, cute cubby semi-senior

Transferred to Family Dogs New Life Shelter

Visit Tippy there!

TIPPY

Pit Bull Terrier Mix
8 years old
Female
58 pounds

Kids · 10+
Dogs · Yes
Cats · Yes

I’m a sensitive little Pitty mix called Tippy. Yeah, I tip the scales. See my heart weighs 60 pounds alone, and is made of solid gold. They have to keep it in a safe deposit box here at the shelter until I find a trustworthy person who can handle the huge amount of love I have to give. I’m a delightful lady, but like to treated with a gentle touch. I am longing for some stability and security so that I can let this heart outta that lock box! I get along great with other dogs, cats and calm, gentle children 10+, but I’m no fan of grabby hands and must be treated with respect. I’m already crate trained, housebroken and ready for a new home! So, tell me, can you handle a heart of gold?

8 years old-58lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes microchip & registration, spay, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Great dog! Short, (too)Chubby, silly and playful, calm.  Gets along with polite dogs and gentle with cats! Tippy does a fun little play bow, and a speak for a treat.

"TIPPY" is Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

Animal ID: 273368, 8yrs, 58 lbs (needs to lose some weight)

At this time, community members aren't able to visit the shelter to browse adoption kennels, and adoptions are limited to the virtual process. Tippy here! I'm an older gal looking for a home of my own. Don't let my age fool you--I have plenty of spring in my step and love to play in between naps! You might call me an "active senior". I get along well with other polite dogs and am gentle and appropriate with cats! I'm a world champion treat catcher (especially my favorite, HOT DOGS) and will chatter my teeth when I'm excited or getting a scritch in just the right spot. I am spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and ready to be your best friend!

I "play bow" for treats
