"CARTER" Available for Adoption at "CLACKAMAS CO DOG Services"
Shelter ID: 106518 Breed: American Eskimo
neutered male 2 yrs 22 lbs adoption fee $210
Description:
Carter knows he is cute as can be, but he hopes that his new family
will look past his adorable exterior and love him for the dog that he
is! Carter is an approximately 2 year old American Eskimo who weighs
approxiamtely 22lbs, and despite his small size, he truly believes he is
a bigger dog. Like many of his breed, Carter can be nervous of new
people and requires a patient person to give him time to decide that he
can be friends with you. A calmer and respectful home is what he craves,
and he hopes that you can offer that to him!
1) Carter tends to be wary and nervous at first of new people, and
will need a home that has had experience with dogs in the past - he
wouldn't do well for a first-time dog owner.
2) Carter is dog selective here at the shelter. Bouncy, younger,
playful dogs are too much for Carter, but he may do well with another
calm, respectful dog of similar size.
3) We don't know how Carter will be with cats or other small
animals, so be sure to discuss proper introductions between Carter and
any resident small animals.
4) Due to his size and his need for a calmer and respectful
environment, Carter would do best in a home with older, respectful
teenagers or in an adult only home.
