Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier I've been in the shelter longer than most and my adoption fee has been paid by someone who loves me.
My foster knows me better than anyone! Here's what they had to say about me during my time with them:
Hank is a sweet, gentle giant, and is very cuddly, sleeps well in bed with us or on a dog bed, has a good appetite, and is fully potty trained-he will let you know when he needs to go outside. He responds well to whistling and can sit and lay down, though he is still working understanding other commands. He loves to play with chew toys and balls and will run all round the yard wanting to be chased.
He can be shy in new spaces at first.
He would like a family who will let him take things at his own pace as he learns about new things.
He is not interested in chasing bird and squirrels so may do well with cats in the home if they are properly introduced over time.
He loves to play with other dogs, but is young and still working on his play manners.He would love an energetic playmate though! It's recommended he meets any dogs or kids living in his new home before he's adopted, just to make sure everyone gets along.
