Poor guy is terrified in the overly loud MCAS kennels. Current  management no longer uses proven noise abatement practices. Turtledove came into the shelter in Dec 2024 with a sibling Partridge (adopted), and would he love to have a confident compatible dog buddy again!

Turtledove is an 11-month-old Shepherd mix who is a bit shy and overwhelmed by the busy shelter environment. The loud barking of other dogs really frightens him, so he's hoping to find a quiet, low-traffic home with a patient family who will help him build his confidence. Despite his timidness, Turtledove has a heart of gold and takes treats very gently. He would thrive in a calm and loving environment where he can blossom at his own pace.
