UPDATE 1/29/25ADOPTED or on hold
Sweet boy! recently had a Dog's Day out and was easy riding in a car, and going for a leash walk in a park. Jensen has a fan club of volunteers who are patient and allowed Jensen to take his time trusting them (in the scary shelter environment) A true "heart dog" for a lucky person
He is a shy timid German Shepherd and would benefit from being in a home instead of the loud shelter. Jensen will need a good home/foster who is patient. He previously came in with his (sibling?) Jenny who has been adopted. It's possible that Jensen would benefit from the companionship of a confident, compatible and dog-social dog
"JENSEN"is Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

now in foster
Jensen is a 3-year-old German Shepherd who is a bit of a mystery. He's quite nervous at the shelter but loves to explore his surroundings with his nose. While hesitant with people, he'll curiously approach to within a couple of feet before retreating, showing a conflict between his desire to connect and his fear. Jensen needs a patient and understanding family who can give him the space and time he needs to build trust. He's motivated by treats, which will be a valuable tool for building a bond and working on confidence-building exercises. A quiet home with a predictable routine will help him feel safe, and a family who can read his subtle cues and respect his boundaries will be key to helping him blossom. If you're experienced with fearful dogs and ready to provide a loving and supportive home for Jensen, please come meet him today to see if it would be a good fit. With the right family, this diamond in the rough will shine!

JENNY ( UPDATE 12/30/24 ADOPTED ) came in with Jensen
https://www.multcopets.org/adoptable/333298
Jenny is a 2.5-year-old Shepherd searching for a special home with patient and understanding adopters. This sweet girl can be nervous and shy at first, especially in new situations. She responds well to gentle approaches, crouching down to her level, and offering tasty treats. Jenny loves to go for walks and explore once she's out of her kennel, but she can be a bit hesitant about the leash initially. She's still learning to trust people and may take some time to warm up, but with a calm and loving approach, she has the potential to be a wonderful companion. Jenny has a fear waiver, so her new family should be prepared to work with her on building her confidence and helping her feel safe. A quiet home with a fenced-in yard where she can relax and play would be ideal. If you think you can offer Jenny the time, space, and love she needs to blossom, come meet her at the shelter today!
