*no cats
Meet Rouge, a handsome and social middle-aged German Shepherd who loves human company and will happily trot right up to solicit all the pets he can get! 🐕✨ He is a spirited boy who can get a bit jumpy and mouthy when excited, but he is incredibly food-motivated and easily redirected with a tasty treat or a simple verbal cue. Just keep an open palm handy, as this enthusiastic learner can be a little "chompy" when taking his snacks! ðŸĶī😋 Because Rouge has a strong prey drive, he needs a home with no cats or small dogs, and he can be selective with other canines. ðŸū Additionally, due to some resource-guarding behaviors, any children in his forever home must be over 12 years old. If you're an experienced handler looking for a loyal, intelligent, and affectionate partner, Rouge is ready to steal your heart! 💖

"BEX" YORKIE MIX **FOREVER FOSTER HOME NEEDED!** "OLD DOG HAVEN" West WA and Portland, OR

 OLD DOG HAVEN -

PERMANENT Old Dog Haven FOSTER HOME NEEDED:
(foster homes must be located in W. Washington state or Portland, OR only)
 "
Another senior shelter dog needs an Old Dog Haven home. We are looking for a home to send him to for the rest of his days. Our fosters keep the dogs forever; this is why we call them "forever fosters" .Once we find his home, we will cover all of his veterinary care for life (thanks to donations).

"Bex" is a yorkie or yorkie mix, not-yet-neutered male, who weighs 9 pounds.
This little guy finds himself in a shelter with a terrible mouth that really needs a skilled dental. He has very few teeth left but several oronasal fistulas which ideally would be repaired (not an easy thing in a dog this size). He has a cough likelydue to tracheal collapse issues and a stiff gait in the back end, but bloodwork shows his organs working well - just lots of stress and dental infection.

Shelter staff say he's good with other dogs and sweet to handle (well, except for vaccines when he first came in, poor guy). We would so like to get him out of the shelter and into an Old Dog Haven home where we can get help for his mouth. Please let us know right away if you might be interested.

To read more about joining our network of homes, please read through the link below. Our applications manager is ready for your email 😁and Bex is ready to leave the shelter!"
