 Personality: Funny, Curious, Loves, Playful

Vodka, our 1 year old 12 pound chihuahua mix, understands the concept of "dressing for the job you want". Sure, she's small and timid. But when she hears the coyotes howling, Vodka throws her head back and barks with them. Vodka is not confident about everything, but she is confident she can take on that coyote pack (she can't).

Found stray with puppies, we took Vodka in so she would have a safe place to raise her babies. Now that they are ready to be adopted, it's time for Vodka to ask for a family of her own.

Vodka is house and crate trained and has not been destructive. She is great with other animals and loves dogs of all sizes; Vodka has even been respectful of the resident cat. We think Vodka would enjoy living with other playful dogs.

Vodka takes a while to warm up to people. Once she does, though, she is funny, silly and cuddly. Vodka shows her affection with a thorough eyeball sniffing rather than a traditional kiss. She seems to prefer women, but we're sure with time, Vodka can be friends with anyone. Due to her timidness, we don't recommend little kids for Vodka. Vodka is quiet if there is nothing to bark at but will happily bark if needed; a thin walled apartment may not work.

Leashes and leash walking are new to Vodka and she's still creeped out by the concept. A securely fenced yard would be best for her; she loves to sit outside and fantasize about the pack of coyote's she'll be joining (she won't be).

Vodka is heartworm negative, microchipped, spayed, and current on her preventatives. Her adoption fee is $300.

Vodka may think she's ready for life in the wild, but we know the truth. She's actually ready for life on the couch with her new favorite person. Is that you?
