"AMANDA" gentle pretty, young mix

ADOPTED!

I am one of the nicest dogs you ever want to meet. I am young, healthy, gentle, and well mannered. I have seriously impressed the shelter staff with me gentle and friendly ways.

Reward based classes are always recommended and will be fun for both of us. I am looking for a home who will appreciate what a gem of a dog they are bringing into the family.

I am about year of age and I weigh an athletic 57lbs. Here's my MCAS weblink

"SADIE" loves her spa time

ADOPTED!

I am a sweet little Sadie Mae looking for a home to land forever. I lived previously with some other dogs and little kids. I am patient to a point with children and would appreciate a home with adults only or respectful kids over the age of 8 years.

I am housetrained but may have a few accidents until I know which door to stand at so please be patient with me during the transition. I have had no exposure to cats and may decide that chasing them is fun.
I have always been groomed at Paws Awhile in Gresham and would appreciate continuing to go there because they make me very comfortable during my spa time. I am 9 years of age and I weigh a chubby 19lbs. Ask about me today! Here's my MCAS weblink

"PETUNIA - short cute chubby Staffie Bull Terrier mix

ADOPTED!!

I am a diamond in the rough and looking for a home who appreciates me! I have been around the block a time or two and I am looking for an owner who has some patience as I figure out what is expected of me in my new home.

The shelter staff know that I have been friendly with all of the people I have met, I enjoy reward based training but I am still learning how to learn. I have met a few dogs here and would do best as the only pet or with a well matched social and mature adult dog.

I am about 8 years of age and I weigh a healthy, some would say chubby, 53lbs. Ask about me today! Here's my MCAS weblink

"LAMBY" just like a little Lamb!

ADOPTED!!

Hello my shelter name is Lamby, yeah I know a little silly. I am in good company though... Lena Durham creator and star of Girls named her shelter dog Lamby. Hey at least I look like a lamb.

Besides my unusual looks I am an affectionate boy looking to score an active family to start my new adventure in the world. I am a great size for most homes and as you can tell by just looking at me I am very smart! Interested in getting this relationship going? Ask about me today.

I am a black and silver male Terrier mix, around 1 year old and weigh about 14.8 lbs.  Here's my MCAS weblink

"ANTHONY" stout,outgoing Schipperke mix!

ADOPTED!

Hello my shelter name is Anthony, my friends call me Tony. As you can see I am a lot of dog in a small package. The Shelter is calling me a Schipperke but I am probably a mix of something else as well. Go ahead to do some research I think you will be pleased by what you read about my "main" breed.

Although energetic I can also chill with the family which makes me an ideal companion don't you think. While I have been staying here at the shelter I had a roommate so with early supervision I don't see why I can't have another canine family member! Yes I am a great catch, please ask about me today.

I am a gold and black neutered male Schipperke mix, around years old and weigh a stout 23 lbs. Here's my MCAS weblink

"GARTH" sweetie Lab mix- listens and trys!

The names Garth, pleased to meet you. I am just a simple boy looking for a committed family to help me grow into the best dang dog on the block.

The shelter is helping me with this by asking us to go to classes together. I am so excited… we will have so much fun getting to know each other!

"OTIS" loveable senior CAT

adopted!

Otis is currently in a temporary foster home. Please let the shelter know if you are interested in meeting him?

I'm Otis, I came here with my brother, Abner, when our mom lost her home. We have spent some time in a foster home and decided we would do best in our own homes.
Another thing they discovered is I am not a dog fan, really they are too much for me. I am 13-years-old and really would like to live out my golden years with a nice family. Yes I like children!

I have great house manners (though I need LOTS of good things to scratch on), are friendly and affectionate, and don't even mind the vacuum cleaner!  Would you like to give a home to a very handsome, social and homeless boy like me? Please ask if you'd like to meet me!

"STEVIE"- blind Cocker Spaniel to "love and accept"

ADOPTED!!!

Stevie does not need "saving!"  He just needs a good, compatible and loving committed home. He is cool!

I’m Stevie and when I arrived at the shelter I had severe Glaucoma that required the removal of both of my eyes. I’m now pain free and adjusting beautifully. I've learned to navigate my foster home and follow my family’s voice.

I’m living with other dogs and doing just fine but my new family will need to keep me protected since I won’t necessarily know if another dog isn't keen about me.
I will alert bark to people at the door and it takes me a bit to warm to strangers that enter. When I know you I'll welcome you with a happy animated stubby tail dance of joy.

Stevie is house trained, loves his chewy toys and even has conversations with them. This special boy is seeking a special adult family to continue helping him adapt to his sightless world. In return you'll have a beautiful, devoted friend with a zest for love and life. To see this cutie please contact Donna, the foster coordinator @ 503-545-3021 or donna.b.scott@multco.us.

"STEVIE" loving Cocker Spaniel

ADOPTED!!!

Stevie came in as a blind stray dog to Dove Lewis Emergency Vet and was transferred to MCAS shelter.

Here's a little more about him in this Video (2nd half of video)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BEFoqzOuag

Stevie was in a lot of pain from the Glaucoma which caused his blindness.  Stevie was fortunate to have his painful eyes surgically removed and then placed into a compassionate MCAS Foster care home with Mary Pat and her family. Stevie is a great dog, who just needs a good home with patient kind people.

Please Note: If you'd like to help the local Multnomah County Stray Animals like "Stevie" who come into the MCAS shelter in need of medical help, you can do wonders for them by donating to "Dolly's Fund" "It's very rewarding  to know that your donation will help a medically challenged stray to get the extra care.

"FRANKLIN" sweet young pup

ADOPTED!

If you are looking for an adorable little stinker to add some zest and fun to your life, then look no further! Both me and my brother are young and active and ready for a home.

We may be small, but we are full of energy and not ready to settle down as someone's lap dog full time. The shelter will require that adopter's take reward based classes as a requirement for adoption.
We are both about 8 months of age and weigh under 8lbs. Here's my MCAS weblink

"CAMERON' endearing Jack Russell Terrier!

ADOPTED!!!

Are you looking for a quiet little gentleman to bring some comfort to your life? I am that perfect little companion for someone who just needs a quiet soul to add companionship. Don't get me wrong, I am still a terrier and will need to be kept on leash so my nose doesn't get me in trouble.

I am also looking for a home without cats. I am getting along nicely with my canine roommate here at the shelter. But at my age, I am pat the puppy stuff and yet still full of spunk. I had a fatty tumor that the shelter removed and Doc says is no longer a worry.

I am otherwise a healthy 7 year old dog. I weigh 16lbs and I hope you ask about me today! Here's my MCAS weblink

I promise I’ll sit next to you and gaze adoringly at you as you pet me.

Are you my new person? Please ask to see me and find out If I'm your boy. Here's my MCAS weblink
