"KODA" Available for Adoption at "CLACKAMAS CO DOG Services"

Shelter ID: 106454 Breed: German Shepherd Dog/Mix

neutered male, 10 mths 40 lbs currently,  adoption fee $210

Description: Koda here, ready to make his debut! Koda is an approximately 40lb Shepherd mix who cannot wait to make you his new best friend. Koda can be a bit shy, and the shelter noise is pretty overwhelming to him, so he would LOVE if you would ask to meet him outside where it is a bit calmer and quieter and he can show off who he REALLY is. At about 10 months of age, Koda knows some basic manners but as most young dogs, would love to continue his basic obedience training and skill building with you. He has really enjoyed other dogs, too, and sometimes being around another dog makes his confidence shine through! Koda is a sensitive soul, looking for someone to help guide him and encourage him through new and scary situations with patience, empathy, and hopefully tasty snacks!

1) Koda is a shy fella at first, and would do best with an owner who has experience with dogs in the past - bonus points if they have experience with shy guys like himself!

2) Koda has been dog friendly here at the shelter! Koda may THRIVE with another dog in the household, but likely would do great as an only dog as well (hopefully with some playdates with other friendly dogs, too!). If you have another dog, please discuss their personality with your adoption counselor to make sure they can be great housemates and schedule a time for them to meet one another!

3) We don't know how Koda will be with cats or other small animals, so be sure to discuss proper introductions with your adoption counselor to make sure he and any resident small animals can be good housemates.

4) Due to his shy nature, Koda would likely do best in a home with older and respectful children. He may do best in a lower traffic home, too.
