"We have another senior that needs your shares to help find an Old Dog Haven Forever Foster home for. This darling boy came in as a stray to the shelter. The shelter has asked us to take him into our care because of his seizures. Once we can find a home to send him to, ALL veterinary bills, including medications and Rx food needed, will be paid for by our organization (thanks to donations!).
PERMANENT Old Dog Haven FOSTER HOME NEEDED:
(located in W. Washington state or Portland, OR only)
"Benson" is a neutered male pom who weighs 13 pounds. Because he was a stray his exact age is unknown. He is most definitely a senior.
This little guy is in pretty decent shape medically; just had his dental,
luxating patellas but gets around well, bloodwork quite good except forslightly elevated liver values. However: he has had two long but not
grand-mal seizures recently; he will see the vet very soon to get
started on seizure medication. With "strays", of course, it is unknown if the dog has had seizures long-term and/or if he has ever been on medication for them. He will need monitoring for more seizures; we are hoping the medication can stop or control the seizures.
His temporary home says he's great with their dog andreally needs canine company; he's very loving, enjoys walks, happilyjoins you on the couch. A really nice little dog with a problem we
hope we can control. If you have room in your home and heart, please
get in touch.
We have a long wait list! If you would like to offer Benson or one of the other senior dogs on our list a forever foster home, please read through the link below and email our applications manager.
