The dogs at Clackamas Co shelter have a harder time getting adopted since recent budget cuts closed the shelter on Saturdays.
The longer stays are tough on dogs! Please consider taking some time on a Tues thru Friday 1:00-4:00 pm to visit with one of the adoptable dogs!

"MYRTLE" Available for Adoption at "CLACKAMAS CO DOG Services"
Shelter ID: 106295Breed:Siberian Husky/Pit Bull Terrier
2 yrs 70 lbs adoption fee $205 spayed female
Description: Hello, my name is Myrtle. I am named after the beautiful myrtle wood you can find in the state. You don't need to go very far to find this Myrtle, I'm right here waiting for you. I'm a 2-year-old female Husky, pitbull, and I'm not sure what else is in my genealogy. I weigh around 70 pounds but look like a medium sized dog. I have made some friends at the shelter, but I am cautious around strangers. I do like to go walking and have gotten bouncy playful in the outside play yards. Come on down, just like the price is right. I might be the right prize for you. I can be your prize of love and happiness. Please fill out an application so we can have a proper introduction to get to know each other. See you soon.
1) Myrtle is a 2-year-old Husky / Pitbull mix who will do best in a home with some dog experience. One that will give her plenty of positive reinforcement and exercise through walks, obedience classes, hikes and/or play sessions.
2) We do not know how Myrtle would act towards cats or small animals. Due to the breed characteristics a family with no cats or small animals would be preferred. Please be sure to discuss this with your adoption counselor if you have small animals living in the house.
3) Myrtle will do best with kids 13 and up due to her size and breed characteristics of having possible herding instincts.
4) Myrtle may do great with dogs similar in size who are respectful of other dogs' space. If you have another dog in your home, we will need to set up a meet and greet.
5) Myrtle likes to be active so a secure fenced yard would work best for her to get proper exercise.
