Thanks to Waggin Tails Search and Rescue (a local non-profit group) who were able to contain and rescue this guy( almost a week) after he and a companion dog were dumped. HOlland is at the ClackamasCty Animal Shelter. He is scared and would love to find a compatible home soon
"Our dogs all go home with their spay/neuter completed, microchipped, rabies vaccinated, DHPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, are heart worm tested, one month flea/tick preventative applied, and with a 1 year license included. They also will have their teeth checked and any needed dental work done prior to going home, too!" CCDS FB

Shelter ID: 105774 neutered male, 1 yr 7 mths currently 50 lbs (he will fill out)
Description: Holland is a fun-loving, young Shepherd
Mix who is going to remain on the smaller side, weighing only 50 lbs
(full size likely in the 55-58 lbs once more filled out). This fella can
be nervous when he first meets new people - but give him some soft
words and some snacks, and he will be your friend quickly! Holland is
only about a year and a half old, so would LOVE to learn with you!
Training is a great way to engage and tire out an active dog. It could
also help him bond to her new family, too! Holland will need a committed
owner who will help provide him with security and confidence as he
adjusts to his new home. If you have a soft spot for handsome black
Shepherds (with floppy ears), Holland is the dog for you!
1) Hollland would likely do best in a home that has experience with
shy or nervous dogs. He was running stray in the mountains and took
several attempts to be caught. If pushed into new situations too
quickly, he may get very fearful.
2) Holland was found running with a female dog, and has seemed fine
with other dogs here at the shelter. He may do great in a home with
other dogs! If you have any other dogs in your home, please schedule a
time for them to meet Holland to make sure they can be good house mates.
3) We don't know how Holland will be with cats or other small
animals, so please be sure to discuss proper introductions toward any
resident small animals and cats with your adoption counselor.
4) Holland would likely do best in a home that has consistency and
quiet moments. Because of this, he may do best with no children or
respectful kids 13 years of age or older.
