Meet Bristol! This beautiful girl is looking for a companion.  Someone she can love, snuggle up to and join on outings.  If you will allow it, she will lay on your lap - all 75lbs of her and her wonderfully soft fur. For outings, Bristol loves running off leash and exploring, but she is also good when walking on leash.  And, she is fabulous in the car!

Bristol is 6.5 years old, spayed and current on vaccines. She is a Weimardoodle - her Dad is a longhair Weimaraner and her Mom is a Poodle. Her owner has had her since she was 3 months old and moved with her a few times, always to remote areas where she and Bristol could hike and enjoy the outdoors. She adores Bristol but must rehome her due to circumstances she cannot change.

From Bristol’s Owner:

‘Bristol is a very calm, keen and intuitive girl. She has never been sick and is not a problem dog on any level. She is VERY much into her person and LOVES with ALL her heart and soul. She has never been around kids, but will do well with a devoted couple, without cats and possibly another dog. Unfortunately, I am no longer in a stable place, and I want her to be in one.’

Bristol is not crate trained. She sleeps on a dog bed at night and if her person is gone for a few hours, she is with her dog mates in the barn or garage.  She is a calm dog and not reactive to loud noises such as fireworks and thunder so she very well could stay in the home when her people are gone without a problem.

Bristol has lived with medium to large dogs her whole life and gotten along well with them. She is not accustomed to meeting new dogs so will need practice - she does not react badly but is uncomfortable in such a situation. For her home, an easy going medium to large male dog should prove to be fine following a meet and greet.

Cats and chickens are not a go for Bristol due to her prey drive - she will chase them. Her ideal home will be with people who enjoy the companionship of a loving dog, have time to take their dog(s) on daily outings, be that a walk or an off leash run in the forest, and since she has never lived with children nor gotten to know them outside the home, housemates should be 18 years or older. "

The situation the owner is in will become more and more dire as time moves forward, so we are hopeful someone looking for a sweet and beautiful soulmate will see her bio and reach out to us.  If that is you, please fill out an adoption application.
