UPDATE 3/22/25 ALL Adopted or on hold
Dogs on their website https://yakimahumane.org/adopt/dogs/
Yakima, WA is a long drive from Portland, but the Yakima Humane Society seems like a decent animal shelter that could use a boost for attention. They spay/neuter all their adoption pets and try to do adequate adoption screening (which is more than can be currently said of Mult County animal shelter!)
Goat #58016537, 2 mths 7 days, intake 3/14/25, Chihuahua/short -haired terrier, adoption fee $300
Lamb #58016532, 2 mths 7 days, intake 3/14/25, Chihuahua/short -haired terrier, adoption fee $300
Sheep #58016544, 2mth 7 days, intake 3/14/25, Chihuahua/short -haired terrier, adoption fee $300
Sheep
came in with her siblings Lamb and Goat. They were in rough shape when
we got them, starving and dehydrated; it was clear they hadn't had
proper nutrition for a while. They also tested positive for Coccidia so
we began treatment immediately along with giving the some IV fluids.
They whole group is doing much better now but due to the lack of proper
care it is hard to tell what size they will be when full grown. Right
now we have them listed as small but they could go through a growth
spurt and be a little bigger than that, your guess with size and breed
is as good as ours. Sheep is a sweet girl who is friendly and outgoing.
