- Meet Maya!
Maya is estimated to be about two years old and weighs only 35 pounds. She’s a great size! Maya was rescued living as a street dog, surviving on her own and fed from the hands of kind strangers.
Maya is a very sweet, cuddly and playful girl. She loves laying out in the sun, playing in the yard and snuggling up at night. While she is perfectly happy playing by herself, chasing her tail or playing with toys, she loves playing with you or her canine siblings.
Maya has been fostered for the past year in a home with two older dogs and would do well in a home with another dog or children to play and cuddle with. We are unsure how she would do with cats. She loves having a dog door!
Maya is currently in training. She has leash reactivity with other dogs. She does fine with them when off-leash, but still needs work when on leash. She is also not good with recall, probably because she lived on her own on the street. She may never be a candidate for being off leash unless she is in a securely fenced area.
Maya is a little ball of big energy and has so much love to give with all the gratefulness of having a safe and stable home.
