Hi there, my name is Felix! I'm approximately a 3 year old boy that was found by a good Samaritan and brought to the shelter. I came to the shelter extremely friendly, but had some minor itchy skin issues that have been improving under the right care and medication. I am feeling wonderful and so much better! My friends at the shelter say that I'm a handsome and good boy with good manners, especially because I know how to sit and shake! I also make everyone laugh here when I show that I can hippity-hoppity in place when treats are brought out! I would love to find a home where I can relax, play, goof around and be someone's best friend. Is that you? I went to a home for a month, until my new humans moved to Europe. They said I was respectful with their small dog and friendly with other dogs I met. I am a very, very sweet boy! At this time, community members aren't able to visit the shelter to browse adoption kennels, and adoptions are limited to the virtual process.

Aside from that, I'm incredibly playful and active - always on the move - and love nothing more than a good toy. I'll make you laugh and smile with my adorable face and goofy energy. I am eager to learn and can't wait to show you how smart I am! My adopter should be prepared to spend plenty time giving me mental and physical stimulation.

"CAZAN" little husky, ADOPT/Rescue a Local Dog

10/25 TRANSFERRED to a Rescue Group  -  thank you!!

MANY GOOD LOCAL DOGS like Cazan linger at the MCAS shelter. Please first try to adopt/Rescue a "Local dog"

Why are so many of our good local dogs not being helped  by OHS or other local rescue groups?

We humans kill billions of chickens a year for food....but  Cazan didn't know that dogs aren't supposed to do that. Oops, Cazan! Well, at least he didn't get shot and killed for doing it.

ps- if Cazan is adopted out of Multnomah County he doesn't have "Level 4" Restrictions. But, remember, in any County, dogs are severely punished for killing chickens and you would still need to have a secure fence, and be responsible so that  he would not kill any more chickens! (only us humans are allowed to do that!)

No Cats

Hi there, my friends here at the shelter have been calling me Coyote because of my unique coat and looks! I was found as a stray, so not much is known about my history. However, I'm a sweet boy who knows how to sit, and gives kisses when I feel ready! It just takes me a bit to feel safe and sound as I adjust to my new surroundings. I have lots of love to give to the right and patient home who will work with me on my shyness. I was brought home for a week and they said I am trainable and a great boy, but I am a little too focused on their cat, so I came back to see my friends at MCAS until I find a home without a kitty friend. Are you my forever home? At this time, community members aren't able to visit the shelter to browse adoption kennels, and adoptions are limited to the virtual process.
