UPDATE 10/20 Adopted
MANY GOOD LOCAL DOGS for Adoption like Bones/Chance linger at the MCAS shelter. Please first try to adopt a "Local dog" from the county shelter (aka old fashioned term "the pound")
Why are so many of our good local shelter dogs not being helped by OHS or other rescue groups?
"Chance ( aka Bones) needs a good home now. From day he came in, he has disliked living in a shelter kennel, but loves being outside of one with the staff/volunteers and is quite affectionate once he knows you. Nice easy size
Animal ID: 272987, 2yrs 55lbs
At this time, community members aren't able to visit the shelter to browse adoption kennels, and adoptions are limited to the virtual process. Hi, I'm Bones! I am a handsome young dog looking for my forever home. Could it be with you? My finder says I'm friendly with people. My friends at the shelter do not know much about me beyond that! I may do well with other animals given a proper introduction. A smart pup like me could benefit from positive reinforcement-based training. That would help build my confidence and our bond. I don't mind the shelter life, but I am looking for a big cozy dog bed to call my own.
