LOUD animal shelters like MCAS, whose current managers will not follow proven shelter noise abatement practices, are terrifying for many dogs, while they create more dog/dog reactivity in others. Sometimes the more sensitive or nervous or under-socialized dogs never make it out alive because of that.
Saffron the young Boxer almost didn't make it because of natural fear of that scary environment. Fortunately, she did and is finally in foster
QUESTION...why hasn't this sweet BOXER been spayed prior to making her available for adoption?(she's not even taking up shelter kennel space!!)
"SAFFRON "is Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

Hi! My name is Saffron, I am a 2 year old Boxer lady with a heart of gold. When I first came into the shelter, I was very scared. After some time, and with the help of my friends at the shelter, I have blossomed into a sweet, affectionate and silly lady! I love to nuzzle into my handlers arms and get pet all over my body! I especially enjoy but scratches, those really get me going! I dream of going on long walks, followed by cuddles on your couch. Ask a staff member to see me if you think we'd be a match! Love, Saffron
