Meet Blitzen! This handsome Rottweiler is eager to find his forever home. Blitzen is a sweet and treat-motivated guy who enjoys exploring the world through his nose - he loves to sniff! He's shown improvement on walks, becoming more relaxed and staying closer to his handler. He knows "sit" and will happily offer it for a treat. Blitzen can be a little nervous, especially around loud noises, and may pull on the leash initially. He also has some handling sensitivities, so slow introductions and respecting his space are key. Due to these sensitivities and some fearfulness, he may do best in a home with older, more understanding children who can respect his boundaries. While he enjoys gentle petting on his head, neck, and upper body, he may be sensitive to touch on his lower back/rear due to an allergic skin condition, so this area should be avoided. He has a fear waiver. Blitzen is looking for a patient and understanding adopter who can provide him with a calm and supportive environment. With a little time and consistency, Blitzen is sure to blossom into a wonderful companion.
