In my day, I was probably quite the dashing young dog. That charm has stayed with me but has matured into an easy dignity that carries me even on the days when my stiff knees have trouble. I walk really nicely on a leash and I will make a quiet and companionable partner. 

 I am looking for a home that can help support me with routine vet care and gentle daily exercise. I am about 10 years of age and I weigh 80 lbs

Hello my name is Zedd and I am around 5 years old. My family came in to some hard times recently and rather than leave me homeless with them they gave me up hoping for a better life for me. I miss them something awful but am ready to put a good paw forward and start again. They wanted you to know a bit about me. I lived with an assortment of children and with a gentle introduction we got along great. I also lived with a cat, not my favorite but we learned to live together with no problems.

I consider myself a lap dog, yeah I am a little big weighing in at 12 lbs for the title but that’s what I like so I hope you can accommodate me.
You might have noticed my coat, yes I am not in the best of shape right now but with a good diet, regular flea control and baths I should be back to my stunning puppy good looks.

Newman is a handsome young man looking for an active home that is willing to invest in some obedience training! He knows sit, but is also a bit leery of having his paws touched, a harness put on, and his mouth looked at.

Wolfie is a handsome young man looking for a special home. He lived the majority of his life on a chain, and now he will need someone with patience and time to help him adjust to a new life. He was adopted to a home where small children visited frequently and he was too much for them so he came back to the shelter to find a new home. His adopters reported that he is housetrained and is very active. Kids in his new home should be at least 12 years. He does walk well on leash, but gets scared around other dogs and people. He has bonded well with a few staff members here at the shetler, and we hope he can find someone to love him like we do!

Hi my shelter name is Teddy, I bet you can guess why. You are right I look like a cuddly Teddy Bear! While that is very true I do need to get to know you and feel safe before I really loosen up & cuddle. The shelter is asking that only families with children 10 years and older ask about me. Not a bad idea considering the youngsters don’t always listen to us dogs when we say NO!

 I am a sturdy Chihuahua around 4 years old and weighing in at 9 lbs, not one of those delicate types. I like a nice paced walk and some play romping in the back yard just like any big dog does.
Also I do think a regular brushing is in order for me with my long locks.

Hi there, those silly shelter people named me Curly Sue because I have that big adorable curl over the front of my face. I am about 5 years old and weigh slightly under 6 pounds. I'm so tiny the shelter would recommend kids in my home be at least 6 years old, because little kids might not understand I might break easy if they are too rough. I am the cutest, bestest, nicest little girl. 

 

 

 

 Can you tell the shelter staff just love me! I'm calm and would probably just love to snuggle with my new owner. I have a beautiful coat that will require some brushing or you can get me a cute shorter hairdo if you'd like. Hurry over to see me, I'll be adopted quickly.

Hi there, my name is Belle. I'm looking for a home where I could be the belle of the ball. I'm 7-1/2 years old but you'd never know to look at me and I'm a petite 48 pounds. I'm housetrained and I'm only looking to be an inside dog!  My previous owner said I'm outgoing, friendly, very active and I ride well in the car. I lived in an adult home but seem to like everyone. 

 

 

 I love to play in the water and watch the Disney channel on tv! I am obviously a big dog but also a big baby. I cannot promise to take down any bad guys, but I will definitely keep your feet warm! I will also likely hog the bed and keep you awake with my snoring. But all of that will be worth having a companion like me as part of your family. Once I am comfortable with my new home, I will blossom into the biggest lap dog you could ever hope for! I am about 4 years of age and I weigh a skinny140 lbs. My rear legs and knees turn inward and I will have diagnostic x-rays on July 18th. An adopter would need to assume responsibility for my medical needs, but since we won't have a good idea of those needs until the 18th, I am available to foster-to-adopt until then.
