I briefly fostered 10 yr old "CLAIR" the mom, before she went to an experienced newborn puppy foster home. Claire has an easy and affectionate temperament and her puppies are fabulous little girls!

Birdie (eye patch) and Betty (dark ear spots) pulled off the ultimate April Fools prank. We had taken in their mom, an 11 pound Malti-poo mix, from a very crowded shelter to help with her dental disease. The mom (Claire) is about 10 years old, so imagine our surprise when we noticed she was pregnant! She had an emergency c-section on April 1, and she and Betty and Birdie have been doing great. The puppies are finally old enough (8 weeks on 5/27) to find their own homes (and leave poor Claire to enjoy her retirement in peace!).
Both of the puppies are well socialized to people, cats, and other dogs. They are still developing their personalities but they are very friendly, funny and playful. They love what most puppies love: cuddling, wrestling, mischief and peeing on the floor. We expect both of the puppies to be about the same size as their mom when fully grown - please see the banana photo for reference. No word who dad was.
Puppies need vaccines every 3 weeks until they are 16 weeks old. Until those final vaccines, they don’t have enough immunity for dog parks and the like. However, the duo will have received 2 rounds of vaccines by the time of adoption and can enroll in puppy kindergarten and socializing groups. This, along with continued training, is highly recommended.
The puppies are microchipped, dewormed, and current on flea and heartworm preventatives. Their adoption fee of $600 each includes the spay when they are 6-9 months old.
