UPDATE 6/3/25 ADOPTED
ABNER is an little old man with a fun personality. He has an "older guy head structure" indented above and under his eyes, where there is muscle loss- so some people think he looks "a little odd". Abner has some smooth skin/hair loss on his tail, and nose which I think adds to his charm.
Abner is a (maybe a little bit senile?) nice little old man!

What my friends at OHS say about me:
- I came all the way to OHS through the Second Chance Program.
- I may be a mature gentleman, but I have a young spirit!
- Will my performance of spins, hops, and woofs convince you to pick me? I hope so!
- I may look like a big boy, but I'll do my best to convince you I'm a lap dog!
- I can be picky about my canine companions. Slow introductions and having my own space will be important for me to adjust to a home with resident dogs.
- I have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and will require life-long medical management.
- I am deaf and may need extra care and training while getting settled into my new home and family.
The type of home I'm looking for:
- I tend to be on the vocal side, so I may not be the best choice living in an apartment or condo.
- I would love to live in a family that has someone at home most of the time.
- Giving a little Woof-woof for a treatshowing off his "shake paws"
loves touch
