**Community Volunteers Make a Difference**
"This is Mango enjoying some enrichment with a Kong — a simple activity that provides mental stimulation and a little extra joy during her time with us at the shelter.
Summer is one of our busiest seasons, and after the Fourth of July we’re seeing an increase in stray dogs coming through our doors.
As a municipal dog shelter, we don’t have the option to turn dogs away. Every dog that comes through our doors needs daily care, exercise, enrichment, kindness, and a clean environment while they’re with us.
Our volunteers help make these moments possible. We’re currently looking for volunteers to help with:
Dog walking and socialization
Housekeeping tasks like dishes, laundry, and keeping the shelter clean and sanitaryEven just a few hours a month can make a meaningful difference for both the dogs we care for and for our staff!
