NOTE:
LARGE DOG Permanent Foster Homes are especially needed as too many
linger for a long time in the shelters or are euthanized there just
because they are large senior dogs with some medical needs.

PERMANENT Old Dog Haven FOSTER HOME NEEDED:
(in W. Washington state or Portland OR only)
Tango is a 68 pound, neutered male, a very handsome mixed breed.
Tango is now in a shelter foster home; they say he's a sweet
older guy who enjoys the simple things in life - sleeping on the couch,
relaxed strolls being around his people tasty treats... He is gentle
and easy going with a sweet, funny and quirky personality. He is good atwalking on a loose leash.
Tango met another dog and he did really well - interested
and then just hung out. It is unknown if Tango could live with a cat.
He did meet a 10- 11-year-old child on leash while walking, happy to say hello but respectful.
His
lab work is OK so organs are working well, but he's lame on the right
elbow (presumed arthritis). More concerning, though, is a soft-tissue
sarcoma on one thigh. Those tumors usually spread out into surrounding
tissue untilthey impede movement and comfort; there is really no
treatment. Sothis guy is quite healthy right now but won't have many
comfortable years ahead. We would love to find him an Old Dog Haven
home to enjoy those years.
If
you would like to offer Tango (or one of the dogs on our wait list) a
permanent foster home, please read through the link below. Our
applications manager is waiting for your email and Tango is ready to
join his forever family!
