"COLLIN"Available for adoption with STUMPTOWN STRAYS
COLLIN adoption $350 Breed: Pit Bull Terrier
neutered male, 1 yr 33 lb
ok with Dogs, unknown- Cats, Kids- unknown
Personality: Affectionate, Curious, Friendly, Funny, Gentle, Loves, Playful
Collin, our 33 pound one-year-old pocket-pitty, lives for affection. If you don't have time to pet Collin, well, no worries. Collin will rub himself on your legs like a cat to essentially pet himself. Happiest when curled up on his person's lap, Collin is looking for someone who wants to cuddle as much as he does.
Found stray and injured, we took
Collin in due to a badly fractured rear leg. Although the leg could not
be saved, Collin is thriving as a tripod. He vows to be the fastest dog
in the park someday, and we're sure he'll get there.
Describing our Collin as sweet would be an understatement. He is really enthusiastic about his people (and all people are his people). Collin is also excellent with other dogs. Even right after surgery, he happily greeted the dogs in his foster home with wags and playbows and stopped to exchange kisses on his way to the bathroom. We have not seen Collin with cats.
Collin is still puppy-like in many ways. He's not yet learned about walking in a straight line while on leash. He totally gets the idea of peeing outside, but doesn't always understand not peeing inside (getting better! And belly bands help). Collin is a quick study, though, and is very food motivated. We're sure he'll be doing his person's taxes by this time next year. He is crate trained (with some initial complaints) and hasn't been destructive.
Collin is
heartworm negative and current on his preventatives. His adoption fee is
$350. Due to his breed, Collin's adopter must own their own home or
have a written letter from their landlord giving permission for a
pitbull.
Have you been thinking about getting a lap cat? May we suggest a little tripod pitbull instead?
