Uncle Donny was transferred to OHS in January to be given the chance of some extra, professional (shy dog) behavior training where he could feel safe, loved and go at his own pace in a calm, quiet stable setting. He lived with his 5-6 siblings until he was about 9 months old and was never on his own. Donny is a gorgeous young lovable dog, ready to become "someone's best dog" - in a home willing to take time to know and understand him and still provide the mental and physical exercise that a young active American Staffie mix needs

What my friends at OHS say about me:
- I have been working with the Behavior team at OHS and I'm looking for a special home. It will take time and patience to get to know me. Click the "meet me" button to start the process and schedule an appointment.
- To learn more about my specific needs, please read my What to Expect handout.
- I love to learn! You can use my favorite toys or treats as positive reinforcement and to teach me new things.
- Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment.
- I may be shy at first, but once we get to know each other I will shower you with love!
- High Energy: I can become easily frustrated if my energy and exercise needs are not met. I will need positive outlets and a calm environment to help me flourish.
- I am the prefect blend between active and calm.
- I'm a lovable goofball with a special fondness for stuffed toys. My adorable and playful antics are sure to make you smile!
The type of home I'm looking for:
- I would flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.
- I may do best in a home where there is another dog to help boost my confidence and for me to play with!.
- I will need to meet any canine companions prior to getting adopted.
- I need to go to a home without small children as loud noises and fast movements can frighten me.d
