Meet Altair, a 1.5-year-old Alaskan Malamute who is equal parts "gentle
giant" (NOTE he is listed as only 58 lbs..) and "mischievous teenager." Altair is essentially a big puppy in a
full-grown coat-he's got bundles of energy, a zest for adventure, and a
playful spirit that will keep you on your toes. He is also incredibly
food-motivated, which is his secret superpower; if you've got a treat in
hand, you've got his full attention, making him a fantastic candidate
for positive-reinforcement training. Because he is at that energetic,
formative age, he's looking for an active leader who can provide the
structure, routine, and consistent guidance he craves to channel his
