DOGS: Yes
Leo is a handsome and busy 6 month old ~50# male blue puppy looking for a loving home to call his own. This affectionate boy is current on his vaccines, microchipped and healthy. Leo is wire crate trained (naps and nights), food motivated and very friendly. Although still very much a puppy he responds quite reliably to basic commands including "come" "sit" and "crate". Potty training is ongoing but he is doing very well on this front and we have only had one or two tinkle accidents in front of the door. He is absolutely just now coming into his super puppy powers so providing him numerous appropriate chew toys is a necessity for everyone to be happy...his favorite game is for us to put all of the dog toys into a bucket so that he can dump them out and find 'the one' that needs to be chewed.
He is fostered alongside several adult weimaraners and does great with them though his puppy exuberance can be a bit much for the more relaxed of the bunch :) At 6 months of age he is very much spatially unaware and coordination is not his strongest suit as he can often be found tripped up by things like vacuum cords lol. He is being well socialized and has now been to the woods where he encountered all which that brings including a stream (which definitely confounded him at first but after watching the other dogs he discovered how to navigate just fine), he has also been to the deep snow (which he thoroughly enjoyed) and he rides well in vehicles. Although a voracious eater he is not food possessive at this time and has no issue being fed alongside the other dogs except that he will try to hoover his food down and move on to the other bowls if unchecked. Other tidbits include that he is very friendly and snuggly, bathes well and has no particular issue with being inspected and handled (though this frequently turns into him wanting to play).
If you have the time/lifestyle required to dedicate to a puppy and are looking for a very outgoing young dog to accompany you on your outdoor adventures, consider submitting an application to adopt Mr Leo below.
If Leo is more than you wish to bite off, consider taking a look at calm and demure Greta who is absolutely lovely and has none of the chaos of a puppy :)
***Leo is at this time intact. Oregon Weimaraner Rescue supports waiting to spay/neuter large breed dogs until after the first reproductive cycle for females and/or at 18 months of age to allow a reasonable opportunity for growth plates to fully close. It will be a contractual requirement of adoption that, at owner's sole expense, he be neutered by 19 months of age***
