UPDATE VIDEOS!! "SAGE" AND "GIGIT" adult Pitbulls "MCAS"

Update 12/12/24 Sage is in a foster.Gigit is still available in the kennels

UPDATE 12/7/24 see below- new Videos!

 Sage and Gigit had a fun day away from the shelter today!

It was originally thought that the 2 dogs needed a home both together and without any other dog, but Gigit has recently been in supervised playgroups  and done well with the selected playmates! Please don't just throw her together with a new dog and expect her to be comfortable, as too many shelter dogs are returned for not giving the dogs enough time  to be comfortable together.... but Gigit "could" potentially be happy if adopted separately with a compatible dog and savvy, committed adopters

"SAGE AND GIGIT" are Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

 UPDATE 12/12/24 SAGE is going to a foster home
 SAGE Animal ID: 323177 spayed female 5 yrs 3mths 64 lbs (has lost 10 lbs)
recommend no cats or dogs (except Gigit)
Meet Sage, a happy and pretty little pumpkin. She came in with her housemate Gigit, and while these ladies can go home together, they are adoptable individually, as they do not seem bonded to each other. [?note -  Gigit is very dependent on Sage] Sage is very friendly and outgoing with people. She loves making new friends and will greet you with a wagging tail and a happy smile. Sage enjoys exploring new places and going on adventures. Sage would do best as the only pet in the home, unless going home together with Gigit. Some dogs just need more care than others! If you're ready to open your heart and home to this sweet girl, Sage is waiting to meet you!

 ===============================
Gigit #323178, spayed female 4 yrs 9 mths 93 lbs (she's gained alot of weight just hanging out in the shelter...)
 no cats

Meet Gigit, a big, beautiful girl with a zest for life. She came in with her housemate Sage, and while these ladies can go home together, they are adoptable individually, as they do not seem bonded to each other. [?note, Gigit is very dependent on Sage] Gigit is initially reserved on meeting new people. Once she warms up to you, she'll show you her playful and affectionate side. She can be a cuddlebug. Gigit would do best as the only pet in the home unless Sage is accompanying her. Some dogs just need a little more TLC and attention than others! Please consider meeting Gigit and opening your home to this sweet girl
