*Gets Along with Dogs

Meet Papyrus, a handsome American Shelter Dog who has quickly become a favorite due to his clever and affectionate personality. This smart boy is highly treat-motivated and already knows commands like sit, shake, and touch. While noisy environments or sounds like trains and helicopters can make him a little nervous at first, he is incredibly resilient and quickly shakes off his anxiety with a patient companion and some tasty snacks. Papyrus is an absolute superstar with other dogs, greeting new friends politely with a high wagging tail and showing off his best play bows during fun rounds of chase. He is exceptionally patient and tolerant with rowdy playmates, though he is mature enough to step away when a playgroup gets a bit too large or overwhelming. On walks, he loves to explore the world through his nose and would be a wonderful candidate for scent work, and using a harness helps beautifully manage his excited pulling when he gets distracted by interesting smells. Once he gets his bearings, his sweet nature shines through as he comfortably climbs into your lap and happily accepts full-body pets. Papyrus will truly thrive in a patient home with a loving routine.
