Hello! They call me Eclipse. I'm still figuring out this big, wide world. It can feel pretty overwhelming sometimes, but I'm trying every single day!
I need patience and kindness (and treats!) when being introduced to strangers, new sounds, and unfamiliar spaces, but once I'm comfortable, I have so much love to give!
I'm looking for a special person who understands that for me, trust isn't immediately given. It's built, slowly and gently, one good day at a time.
A peaceful, quiet home would mean the world to me, with space to breathe and the freedom to come to you on my own terms. When you become my person, my safe and trusted friend, you will have my heart forever.
I can be shy in new spaces. I need a family who will let me take things at my own pace as I learn about new things. Once I come out of my shell, I have lots of love to give.
I'm easy going. Wanna go for a walk? Okay. Hang out in the yard? No problem. Just relax on the couch? I can do that. I'm pretty happy to go at your pace and I don't really need much more than most dogs do. If you're looking for a steady companion, I'm all yours.
I have lived with other dogs, but it's still recommended I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along.
I know some basic commands. I might know tricks like "sit" or "shake." When you meet me, one of my shelter friends can help demonstrate my skills!
