"PRALINE Available for adoption with STUMPTOWN STRAYS
PRALINE adoption $300 Breed: Pit bull Terrier spayed female
ok with kids, dogs, cats
personality: Affectionate, Curious, Friendly, Gentle, Loves, Playful
Praline, our 8 month old 40 pound pitty, has RPF. We've tried treats, squeakies, different lighting - no improvement. Due to a slight underbite, Praline always has "Resting Pout Face". Looks are deceiving though because Praline is just about the happiest puppy we've met; and she's had plenty to sulk about in her short life.
At home, Praline is an easy puppy. She's medium energy and is happy to cuddle on the couch with her people all evening. In between cuddle sessions, she self entertains by tossing toys around. Praline is crate trained, not destructive, quiet when left alone, and potty trained.
Praline LOVES all people. On walks, she enthusiastically waves her tail at all passers-by just in case they may stop to pet her. Praline's learning leash skills and is good at looking at other dogs without reacting. Praline is respectful to cats and just curiously sniffs them.
Praline doesn't have the best understanding of dog body language or personal space. Although not at all aggressive, she tends to walk straight in to everyone, willl rest her head or feet on any dog laying near her, and will lick the inside of other dog's mouths. She'd do best with a dog who is patient and playful and doesn't mind a pitbull all up in their business. Praline isn't mouthy and is very gentle. However, she will knock a small person over if they just happen to be in her way - little kids may find that annoying.
Praline is heartworm negative and is current on her flea and heartworm preventatives. Her adoption fee is $300.
RPF is not curable, but it is completely benign. Want to make sure Praline never really has a reason to sulk?
