"AMELIA" One of the VERY Good ones! Tri-colored mix - FAMILY DOGS NEW LIFE SHELTER

 UPDATE 4/18/24 on adoption again

UPDATE 2/10/24 ADOPTED!

GREAT Dog with so much potential for someone who can appreciate an active young dog who also loves to cuddle She was in foster before getting transferred to Family Dogs New Life Shelter, and was a great house guest. MAKE sure to give her time to settle in - may be jumpy/mouthy in the first week or so with the change?  but definitely will settle down and listen.

Smarter than average, loving, sensitive and responsive. Initially tried alot of counter-surfing, but improved in foster- leave no food on your counters.  Amelia was always responsive on leash walks, tuned towards me when I made mouth clicking sound ( sometimes pulled  when excited, but not excessively) Loves other dogs (would do great on hikes, 1000 acres, daycare you name it... might be too much for a home dog who was not playful, unless she was getting enough activity. Definitely would like a good backyard for zoomies  and lots of attention, time and activity with you and playful  dogs.

I’ve been flying high but feeling a little lost. I might have gotten off course a little because I can’t quite see love through all these clouds. That is my destination: a loving forever family, caring people who want a sweetie like me in their life. I don’t think it should be too hard to come by, but I am still trying to navigate my way there. Sure, I can be a little timid when I first meet new people, but I am up into a sweet and playful girl, so I won’t mind respectful kids 5+ as co-pilots. I love other dogs and am used to sharing my home with various sized pups, but kitty cats won’t fly. My crate training is also going very well, and I am housebroken so I know how to keep my cockpit spotless! Maybe you can help me navigate out of this fog of uncertainty and find it in your heart to get me back on a trajectory of love!

My adoption fee is $260 and includes spay microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance for Oregon residents, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.
