Did I catch your eye? I am quite a looker, at almost 80lbs and big ears waving at you I bet you noticed me. With the pretty boy comes the attitude, I tell you what I want and follow you around expecting every last bit of your attention. All I want is a lovely person or family to take me home and play with me, I love looking out for kids and play so gently with them - if you're grown up and giving me attention though I'll assume you want a hug, why else are you giving me attention? My foster parents say I do very well with people- I sit in restaurants and ignore everyone unless given permission to give and get love, I ignore people on walks unless they ask nicely to pet me and then I love them. I don't bark at people walking past the sliding doors but if there's another dog? I can get a little crazy sometimes. I definitely have the tendency to be leash reactive so if you are not prepared for a big man like me trying to show off how big I can be, please don't apply. I am a German shepherd after all and that comes with its quirks. I like to follow and would probably chase animals if they run from me (I love giving cats love and follow them around to the point of irritating them and if your cat runs I will chase them, aren't they playing?) I do get anxious when I am left alone and when I do not get mental stimulation in addition to my daily runs / walks. I am pretty slow for a shepherd, I'll chase a ball happily for a bit until I decide I want to walk, I run alongside a person with ease but don't keep up with a bike or any board. I get eager if you walk too slow though and want to pull you to the next bush for all the yummy smells. If you are ready to bring a big cuddle bug into your life and have working dog experience, I would love to go home with you!
