"SKIPPER" Available for Adoption at "CLACKAMAS CO DOG Services"

 Shelter ID: 106553

Breed: Siberian Husky/Pit Bull Terrier

neutered male 1 yr 3 mths 62 lbs adoption fee $210

 courtesy CCDS

Description: Skipper is an energetic and lovable boy who is always ready for some fun and a good snuggle! This approximately 1 year-old Husky/American Pit Bull Terrier mix weighs around 62 pounds and loves being with his people, whether that is cuddled up on the couch or outside having a grand adventure. He has a lot of enthusiasm for life, and his new family will need to be ready to help him channel that energy in positive ways. Like any dog entering into a new home, he would benefit greatly from continued basic training with positive reinforcement. With consistency and guidance, Skipper has all the makings of a wonderful companion!

1. Skipper has done well meeting new dogs, and we did note that he appears to do better with calmer dogs. To be sure that it is a good match, Skipper would love to meet any of your other canine family members prior to adoption.

2. We're unsure how Skipper is with cats or other small animals, so we recommend careful introductions and appropriate supervision if he will encounter them. His family should be prepared to manage introductions thoughtfully and give him time to learn what is expected.

3. Skipper would absolutely benefit from continued basic training with continued positive reinforcement. He is a smart, active boy and his new family should provide plenty of appropriate exercise, enrichment, and structured activities while also teaching him how to relax. If you're looking for a big-hearted, fun-loving companion and are ready to help Skipper continue learning and growing, he may be your guy!

"Okay, but have you SEEN those eyes?! 😍 Skipper is serving up some serious blue-eyed heartbreaker energy, and he’s hoping his forever family is out there looking at this post right now!

At about a year old, this handsome guy has two favorite things: being part of the action and being part of your life! Whether you’re heading out for an adventure or settling in for a cozy night, Skipper would love to be your sidekick.
He’s got plenty of youthful energy, so he’s looking for a family ready to keep his brain busy, help him continue learning his manners, and show him how great it can be to slow down and relax, too. He’s done well meeting other dogs and seems to appreciate the calmer ones, so resident pups should come meet him!
Could this blue-eyed boy be the missing piece of your family? Come meet Skipper and find out! 💙"

Here's what you need to know about me:

I'm easy going. Wanna go for a walk? Okay. Hang out in the yard? No problem. Just relax on the couch? I can do that. I'm pretty happy to go at your pace and I don't really need much more than most dogs do. If you're looking for a steady companion, I'm all yours.

It's recommended I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along.

I'm available for Trial Adoption! If you're interested in taking me home for 2 weeks before making a final decision, please speak to an adoption counselor.

"CHUTNEY" Available for Adoption at "CLACKAMAS CO DOG Services"

Shelter ID: 106571 Breed: Breed: Cocker Spaniel/Border Collie

spayed female 5 months adoption fee $210

Description: Well, hello there everyone! My name is Chutney. I'm a 5 month old Spaniel mix and I am looking for my forever home! I'm a happy and energetic pup who is looking for a home that will be excited about my ongoing training and enrichment needs. When I first arrived at the shelter, I was very scared, but my friends here at the shelter helped me to gain some confidence! I get very excited on leash and want to play and run around, and like most puppies my age, sometimes I can be a bit mouthy. I will need a home that will teach me to play with my toys when I'm excited instead of putting my mouth on my friends, as well as all the other normal puppy behaviors like potty training. Because I'm a baby still, I'm not house trained and will need you to teach me how to ask to go outside and that going potty outside is really exciting! I know that puppies can be a lot of work, but I promise that if you invest in me, you'll never regret it!

1) Chutney would do best in a home that has experience with high-energy puppies and who is excited about training and teaching their new puppy.

2) We don't know how Chutney will be with cats or small animals, so be sure to discuss proper introductions with your adoption counselor if you have small animals living in the house.

3) If you have another dog in your house, we will need to setup a meet and greet with your dog to ensure a good fit for everyone!

4) Chutney would likely do best in a home that is either free of children or has no children who are under the age of 13yrs.
