"ASTRID" Available for Adoption at "CLACKAMAS CO DOG Services"
Shelter ID: 106609
Breed: Labrador Retriever/Mix
spayed female 3 yrs 65 lbs adoption fee $210
Description:
Astrid is a gentle soul, looking for a calmer, quieter home to call her own. Do you have a soft bed? Do you have a warm blanket? Are you up for some snuggles and walks? Astrid may be your gal! Astrid is about 3 years old and weighs about 65lbs. Astrid can be a bit nervous of new people, and will need a family who will give her the time she needs to adjust to new people and a new location. She loves to go for walks and tries to keep a clean house, so she can't wait to teach you her cues on when she needs to go potty, too. Her biggest desire will be a person or family who will advocate for her and will help her grow more comfortable with the world around her. Astrid is a sweet gal, and she can't wait for you to see her!
1) Astrid can be a bit nervous with new people at first, so is looking for a patient person or family who has experience with larger dogs.
2) Astrid is dog tolerant here at the shelter. She gets scared and will run from overly exhuberant and super playful dogs, so may do best living with another dog who is calmer and will give her the time to come out of her shell.
3) We don't know how Astrid will be with cats or other small animals but we have not seen any prey drive here at the shelter. Be sure to discuss proper introductions between Astrid and any small animals with your adoption counselor.
4) Due to her initial nervous nature, Astrid may do best in a home that is either free of children or has children who are least 13yrs of age or older.
