"BLAIR" Available for Adoption at "CLACKAMAS CO DOG Services"

Shelter ID: 106610 Breed: Breed: Australian Kelpie/Mix

spayed female 1 yr 1 mth  50 lbs adoption fee $210

Description: Blair is an outgoing and energetic gal who is always ready for an adventure! This approximately 1 year-old Australian Kelpie mix weighs around 50 pounds and absolutely loves to be with her people. She has an abundance of enthusiasm for life, and her new family will need to be ready to help her channel that energy in positive ways. Like any dog entering into a new home, she would benefit greatly from continued basic training with positive reinforcement. With consistency and guidance, Blair has all the makings of a wonderful companion!

1. Blair has done extremely well meeting new dogs! To be sure that it is a good match, Blair would love to meet any of your other canine family members prior to adoption.

2. We're unsure how Blair is with cats or other small animals, so we recommend careful introductions and appropriate supervision if she will encounter them. Her family should be prepared to manage introductions thoughtfully and give her time to learn what is expected.

3. We suggest an owner with herding breed experience, and would highly recommend doing research on the Australian Kelpie breed to make sure Blair is the perfect fit for your lifestyle. She is an extremely intelligent and active girl, and her new family should provide plenty of appropriate exercise, enrichment, training, and structured activities while also teaching her how to relax. If you're looking for a big-hearted, fun-loving companion and are ready to help Blair continue learning and growing, she may be your gal!
