" Bentley is one of my favorite dogs at MCAS. The first time met him during a volunteer shift, my heart ached. I just watched him as he took gentle steps, slowly taking in a new world. He was hesitant, thin, and his coat patchy and distressed. Life had clearly been unkind to this gentle soul.
When I saw him again last Sunday for our walk, I couldn't believe it was the same dog!! His eyes sparkled as he looked at me with recognition and friendship. As we walked I noticed his lush coat returning...he had gained healthy body weight, while his spirit was light...wagging his tail with merriment.
Bentley is a little Seabiscuit, if there ever was one. Sending all of my hope into the cosmos, wishing this gentle boy the safe haven he deserves. " Audrey B- MCAS FB
