Panchi, our 3 month old shepsky mix, is outrageously cute. Which is great because, oh man, is this guy annoying. He's a prime example of why you've gotta be crazy to adopt a puppy. But for the right crazy person, Panchi is going to be a fabulous dog (one day).

Found stray with a broken leg, we took in Panchi to help him heal. We think Panchi's leg healed in rapid time just to try and keep up with the rest of him. He's got 4 fully functional legs now and Panchi's ready to bring on the havoc.

Panchi is already crate and potty trained and eager to learn more. Very food motivated and smart, it's not hard to train Panchi. Which is perfect because he needs it. He's great with both dogs and cats and has never met a person or kid he didn't immediately love. Panchi comes equipt with a really good attitude; he's always in a good mood and brings the party with him.

If Panchi sees it, he bites it. Not in an aggressive way, but in a mouthy, sharp "holy crap is this a puppy or a shark" kind of way. He's learning re-direction and manners but his adopter needs to be prepared for tiny puncture wounds as he figures out how to dog. The husky genes in our Panchi are strong; if he's not getting his way, he can howl like a pack of hyenas. As he's learning how to regulate his feelers, maybe a thin walled apartment wouldn't be a good fit.

Panchi is microchipped, neutered and up to date on his vaccines and preventatives. He'll need vaccines every 3 weeks until he's 16 weeks old, so his adopter should make those appointments now. Until he's fully vaccinated, Panchi should not go to dog parks. But he absolutely should enroll in classes now. We sound like a broken record, but don't adopt a puppy unless you want to train it.

Panchi's adoption fee is $300. We expect him to be about 50 pounds fully grown.

Getting through the mouthy, vocal, tornado phase of puppihood is not for the weak. But a puppy as sweet and cuddly as Panchi makes it all worth it in the end. Want to be the one to help Panchi grow up?
