MCAS needs to spay/neuter all dogs before adoption, especially the females and purebred dogs! Management is failing the dogs and the community. They have had years to resolve this issue and are creating a larger problem for homeless pets. .....WHAT are they thinking?? You can't help but worry, and wonder - will these adopted dogs be used by people for breeding?or have"unintended offspring" to contribute to more poor homeless dogs?...These poor dogs...but...it's not the dogs' fault, and the dogs need good adopters!
12/13/25 "I'm available for a pre-select adoption but I can't go home yet. Please come to the shelter to apply! Learn more about Pre-select animals." NOTE- it is important to check at the local animal shelters if you lose your pet as the stray hold time is only 3-6 days depending on if they have any id . Often the dog is listed as pre-select the same day it comes in as a stray
"RUFFLES" is Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!
