UPDATE 11/15/25 Both dogs have been adopted (separately)
"GRETA and GIZMO " AVAILABLE FOR Adoption at Oregon Humane Society in PORTLAND
Available 11/14/2025
"Looks like" Shih Tzu
GIZMO #339280 adopted 11/15/25 neutered male, 4 yrs 6 lbs $300
What my friends at OHS say about me:- I am preparing to charm my way into your heart if you come meet me.
- I'm adorable and amazing, it's a win win!
- I am still learning how to walk on leash, especially in new environments that can be overwhelming. I need verbal encouragement, patience and of course treats from you to help me!
- Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment.
- I have a heart murmur that may require long term monitoring.
- I have been diagnosed with dental disease which means I may need dental cleanings or extractions in the future.
The type of home I'm looking for:
- I'd really like to go to my new home with my sister, Greta(339281)! We came to OHS together and would like to leave together too.
- I would flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.

GRETA (update 11/15/25 adopted)spayed female, 1 yr 7.9 lbs $400
- I love to be around people! I'd make a great buddy for curling up on the couch to watch a movie.
- If you have a vacant lap, I would be glad to keep it warm!
- Giddy-up! The staff here call me a pony because I like to stand on my hind legs for easier access to pets.
- I can be picky about my canine companions. Slow introductions and having my own space will be important for me to adjust to a home with resident dogs.
- I am still learning how to walk on leash, especially in new environments that can be overwhelming. I need verbal encouragement, patience and of course treats from you to help me!
- I'd really like to go to my new home with my brother, Gizmo(339280)! We came to OHS together and would like to leave together too.
- My history is a mystery! My friends here at OHS don't know if I've ever lived with other animals or children.
