"BIRDIE" chiweenie PERMANENT Foster HOme NEEDED "OLD DOG HAVEN"

  OLD DOG HAVEN FB 11/18/25

"Birdie still needs a home and SOON!
Will you please share our plea today for her? We want to bring her into our care ASAP.
PERMANENT Old Dog Haven FOSTER HOME NEEDED SOON:
(In W. Washington state or Portland, OR only)

"Birdie" is a 13 year old, spayed female chihuahua mix
(probably chiweenie?), 12 pounds.
Birdie had lived with 2 other small dogs and got along great with them. When visiting a friend with a larger dog, she did well with that dog as well.

She is the ultimate buddy to her human and would like to find another home where people are around or she can accompany them most times. She's not happy being left completely
alone, closed in a room; otherwise she's not a barker and is good on a leash though gets distracted with sniffing.... she's getting old and a little deaf, has some arthritis but can still handle some stairs.

Her health history until the last few years is unknown, and she's not had bloodwork to check organ function. She's starting to leak a bit in sleep (medication will help that!) and stress can upset her gut a bit. She will need to go out fairly frequently - she enjoys being out in the yard, as well.

This little dog has been a really cherished buddy/wingman/companion to her person who so hopes she can find another home that will love her as much as he does.

If you would like to offer Birdie or another senior dog on our wait list a home as one of our forever fosters, Old Dog Haven will pay ALL VET BILLS (thanks to donations!)
