Holiday, our 9 month old 47 pound Rottweiler mix, got her name for a good reason. You see, Holiday is always a great time. Also, it's because she was found in an abandoned hotel (not really a Holiday Inn, which would never let a dog be abandoned in their fine establishments). An abandoned hotel is not our first choice for a vacation, and honestly, it wasn't that great for Holiday either. Let's focus on the great time she's having now and find this girl a home.

Holiday was found living amongst trash with a badly broken leg. She immediately went up to her rescuers with a wagging tail and invited them to hang out with her. The shelter reached out to us for help because her broken leg could not be salvaged. Holiday needed a safe space to heal, so we took her in.

Crate trained and easily entertained, Holiday has been a fun guest
. She is great with other medium to large dogs (for some reason small dogs creep her out) and loves kids. In fact, her favorite activity is her morning walk to school every day. Holiday loves meeting all new people and has been polishing her leash walking skills.

Holiday is nearly totally potty trained, is very smart and food motivated. She would be great for a family who wanted to continue with her training. Holiday already knows sit and stay but is eager to learn more. We have not seen Holiday with cats but she seems to think outside cats are fun to chase. A slow introduction would be recommended (it always is).

Holiday is heartworm negative and is current on her flea and heartworm preventatives. As she gets used to having 3 legs, like all tripods, she should be able to do everything a 4 legged dog can do. We suspect Holiday will be 60 pounds or less when fully grown.

Garbage-filled abandoned hotel not your idea of a good time? What about a joyful rottie mix who wants to be your best friend? That sounds more like a Holiday to us.
