Introducing Oscar: A Turducken of Chaotic Good
Oscar is Paddington Bear, wrapped in the Tasmanian Devil, wearing the costume of an adorable anime character with soul-stealing superpowers that we're not cool enough to know about . He's affectionate but needy, energetic but thoughtful, awkward but lovable. Also, he's really cute!
For exercise, Oscar likes to zoom after a stuffy dangled in front of him from a finishing rod toy called a "flirt pole." He's on our running team but is more of an enthusiastic jogger.
Ironically: he is allergic to grass. He also LOVES rolling in it. Zero self-preservation skills. But, he's on meds that allow him to have a grassy wallow while staying itch-free.
His body does weird things-the underbite is just the beginning! Per his medical notes, "This dog has a naturally short prepuce (foreskin) that barely covers his penis. When he is urinating or during play time throughout the day, his penis is often seen protruding from his prepuce." What a unique talking point for cocktail parties!
This fun-size boy loves HARD. Sometimes he "love nips." If you don't startle easily or mind a nibble from time to time (or, even better: if you're willing to work with him on better ways to show affection), you might be his perfect match.
We're pretty sure butterflies live in Oscar's noggin. Sometimes they bonk into each other and click. Mostly he's just enjoying the peace up there. No thoughts. Only vibes.
We're helping him learn how to sit at thresholds (he's very good at that!) and not jump on people to say hello (he's still connecting the dots on that one.) He responds well to a consistent routine and positive reinforcement.
Oscar needs to be an only child, so his future home can't have any other pets or young kids. His ideal person is active, childfree, and has a terrific sense of humor. Because this little dude is a laugh riot!
Oscar is part of our Diamond in the Ruff program. His last foster said that he is "an amazing dog" who walks with a loose leash, takes treats gently, seems to be housebroken and crate-trained, and he "doesn't really bark."
So how is this cute, lovey, trainable goofball still here?!
