"Dear Friends, Will you help???
We are still looking for a home to send these best friends to! We want to pull them into our care ASAP. If you are unable to foster for Old Dog Haven, you can still help Ike and Mamie by sharing our plea to find a forever foster home to send them to.
PERMANENT Old Dog Haven FOSTER HOME NEEDED:
(in W. Washington state or Portland OR only)
"Mamie" and "Ike" are a pair of little old ones, a 12 year old, 14 pounds
spayed female pom/papillon, and her buddy is a 13 year old neutered male chi/poodle mix who is 13 pounds. Their military family is being relocated again very soon; they shouldn't make the trip overseas and their owners have decided it's time they find a new home.
They are good with dogs and cats, housebroken, not needing much exercise.
She is blind now, has had trouble with her spine in the past (stairs are hard
now due to both issues), but she adjusts quite well to new environments
and people with a little time to figure it out. Blind dogs do
amazingly well! Her buddy has a significant heart murmur, doesn't hear
great any more, and can be barky at strangers, but loves to cuddle on
the couch - very easy going and independent.
We would love to find them a spot together as quickly as possible.
As Old Dog Haven dogs, their veterinary bills will be covered for life (thanks to
donations!)."
